She couldn't help but giggle at his experience. He really did seem just like an child. With some primitive soap, she began to lather at his body, intending on at least cleaning him up a little. Whatever fecal matter that had been on his body had been fully cleaned up, with her replacing the water inside with an fresh bucket of one. "Is it too cold? or hot?"

He slowly shook his head no. The water was just fine. He was comfortable. She provided him comfort. She has been providing care. He gravely needed, as he was definitely one foot in the grave. Not exactly from injuries alone, but had she not treated him it would get infected. Plus the ash and smoke in his system. Plus, general exhaustion. "Alright... let's get you dried up." She lifted him up, and placed him on an nearby stool, trying to dry off his body with an towel. As she was finished, she leaded him back to the other room - the soiled garments having already been dealt with and the residue being cleaned up.

"I'll be getting you into some nice, clean, clothes, okay? But first..." From an drawer, she withdrew what seemed to be like an pile of strangely thick cloth, but it's use was apparent as she began folding it around his bottom regions. It was strange, really; she had seldom ever seen these more advanced diapers, which were notably easier to clean and could hold it's place easily with it's shape. "...I'll be adding on some protection, okay? That way, you don't have to worry about accidently going potty anymore." She smiled as she fickled with the pins.

He smiled as he placed the garment on him. He was positively receptive to her and whatever she did. Was this leaning into codependency? Yes, but he's a child. This world expects so much of children that makes sense when approaching adult hood to prepare them for, but it puts children in positions they shouldn't be in. Miyako, in this moment, feels like a beloved child.

After finishing adjusting the cloth diaper, she brought out another, similarly sized Kimono, adorned with an variety of flowery pink and white patterns. Helping the boy out into it, she stood up and marveled at her work. At the very least, the boy didn't seem to mind wearing that protection. "There you go, just like an ordinary kid out there!"

He looked just like an ordinary young girl out in the open, awaiting for their dreams in the future - Of course, you'd imagine it as an façade, for such innocence was seldom to be found much anymore... she sneaked another glimpse at him. Innocence? The boy was the epitome of pure Innocence, as he was now; She wasn't sure of what his past was, but she felt bound to protect him, by some odd reason.

Miyako-Chan was now cleaned and dressed. He wouldn't need dinner for a few hours, so he could just rest and get his strength back. Time moves within the walls of this temple. Miyako-Chan had the routine of a newborn. Eat, sleep, wet, get changed, cuddle, sleep some more. This went on as he slowly began to move more and more. Not talking much apart from giggles and happy coos, or the occasional crying. Especially when Lady Kiyomi would leave his side. He was so spoiled by her, and wanted her always around.

Initially, she was… surprised, to say the least, at him acting like this. But to be frank, she didn’t mind it. With how slow things went around here, and how calamitous the cities were… having a sweet little bundle of innocence at least spiced up her life a little. Initially, she didn’t have much experience in changing diapers, but with his total lack of control, she had to get used to it pretty quick - her accidents were large for someone his size, especially for her outwards completly feminine appearance.

Strange, though. He definitely had some memory before this… it’s almost as if he’s forgotten his past, and now lives like an baby again - maybe it’s for the best, for who knows what hidden horrors the child had experienced?

What probably partially justified this attachment was the fact that none of the priests or visitors came to see him. He could hear others about, but he only ever saw Lady Kiyomi. He didn't see this, but whenever a priest spoke with Lady Kiyomi about him and his condition the, the conversation topic tended to be accompanied by talkies of limited supplies, and hygiene. Miyako was not a child to them. Miyako was another mouth to feed. Speaking of Lady Kiyomi, in the week or so Miyako has been there, he has not a clue that that's her name. She has never spoken her name to him, and he has never heard anyone else say it, because again no one else comes around to check on him. It probably would be a big help to Lady Kiyomi if they did considering she is the sole maiden of this shrine, and is very busy. But people act like they are scared to take care of a child. A shock came when Miyako was laying in his futon taking a nap, and he heard Lady Kiyomi approaching. He didn't know what possesed him, but he instantly removed himself from his futon with excitement, and began crawling towards the door. Trying to make it there to get to greet Lady Kiyomi as soon as possible.

As Kiyomi entered the room, she had suddenly noticed him awake, crawling towards her. She bent down with a small smile, “Hey, Miyako, are you awake? Is anything wrong?” She said, patting his head. It wasn’t odd for him to be so, but he seemed like he was trying to ask her for something. Unsurprisingly, placing an hand beneath his clothes, she could clearly feel an notably soaked diaper beneath.

Miyako made it to her, well Lady Kiyomi kind of met him part way, but he still feels accomplished getting even that far. He leans on her chest since she squated down to his level and nestles her. "Ka-Chan back. Mommy back." He just called her Mommy. Again, he doesn't know her name or a name she wants to be addressed as. However, going as far as Oka-Chan is quite personal. On the other hand that shows what he views her as. Shrine maidens are virgins so, no one would exactly believe that he is hers by birth, but it is quite the title to give. In his happy little greeting he mentions nothing about his soggy diaper. These were his first words since arriving so guess he would rather use them to say Mama.
