Jen continued to drink her beer as she listened to Mike speak. She stared at him for a while once he was done, not sure what to say. This is obviously a trap.... but the way he said it... I want to believe him... but it can't be true... he obviously hates me, as he rightfully should after what I've done... but the way he says it seems so genuine.... She sighed and looked away from him "I'm sorry to tell you, that a heartless bitch is all I am. That innocence and kindness stuff was created by that stuff you gave me, nothing else."

Mike watched as Jen's swimming mind tried to comprehend the logic he had just presented, he could see the internal conflict she was having in her facial expressions. Hmm she's definetly starting to believe me, but this is gonna take some undoing to get her to like me he thought to himself. He actually felt bad when she called herself that and spoke up."Was it now" he said catching her off guard, "then explain just why your cheeks are red." he said knowing she probably hadn't noticed, or would just blame it on her drinks.

Jen turned away from Mike as he mentioned her blushing cheeks which she hadn't noticed, and only got brighter as she heard him ask her about them "Well, that's because of the beers of course, why else would they be? I'm certainly not blushing!" She scolded herself mentally at that last part, knowing that all but confirmed that she was blushing. She looked down towards the blanket and sighed "Yes it was... I'm a horrible person who deserved to be punished for what I had done..."

Mike saw the blush turne brighter and smiled softly as she made the excuse as he predicted. "Is that so" he said. "Well listen I don't think you are anything but a sweet person" he said standing up and walking over to her. "Come on stand up" he said taking her hand and helping her up. "You've had a lot to drink, so just sit over here while I clean up ok?" he said sitting her down on the grass a few feet away. He gave the girl a small kiss on her head before turning back and heading to clean up the food and trash.

Jen just blushed even harder, much to her dislike, as Mike called her sweet. She let him stand her up and walk her over to a spot of grass "Whatever...." She sat down on the grass and looked up at him as he kissed her on the forehead, shocking her and making her blush intensely. Did he just.... why the hell did he do that?! And why am I not angry in the slightest, if anything, I'm flustered about why he did that... why am I not angry? She just watched him, still in shock as he cleaned up the picnic.

Mike packed up the food he had rewrapped and put it and the blanket in the basket and stood up to walk back over to Jen. As he approached she seemed to be in thought again as he stood next to her. "Alright let's go sweety" he said grabbing her hand and started to walk along with her back to the car. "Are you ok?" he said as she seemed to be lagging behind him. "I can slow down if you want" he said stopping and turning to her to see what was keeping her so slow.

Jen was still extremely confused as Mike helped her up and started to walk back to the car, not fully paying attention to what was going on around her. She looked up at Mike as he slowed down and looked at her. "I'm fine... let's just get going..." She started to walk faster, going ahead of Mike towards the car, but not seeming to be making any move to escape. Once she was at the car, she waited for you to arrive and open the door.

"alright" he said as they continued to walk, Jen getting in front of him and beating him to the car. "You must be ready to go home huh" he said opening the door an setting the basket in the back next to her car seat. "Well I doubt you want to ride in that right now, why don't you sit in the front with me" he said leading her around to the passenger side and helping her in. He got in himself and soon they were heading back to his house. The car ride was quite and within the hour they had arrived.

Jen nodded slightly as Mike packed the basket away and opened the passenger door. She sat down and watched him get in, still extremely confused by not just his actions, but her response to them as well. She spent the entire car ride in silence, constantly looking out the window, and whenever Mike noticed her looking at him, she quickly turned back around and faced the window. When they finally arrived at the house, she got out and waited for him to open the door to the house.

Mike let Jen think for the rest of the ride home, he would see her staring at him from the corner of his eye but everytime he looked she turned away quickly, he thought she blushed when she did this too. Once they got home she quickly got out and went to the door. He got out and got the basket and walked up the steps to the door. "I'm gonna put the food away and start dinner, mind waiting for me in the nursery?" he asked as he opened the door and let her in. He headed to the kitchen leaving her to decide whatever she wanted to do .
