The car drove for a few blocks before it skidded to a stop when a red light came faster than he was expecting. Donovan flew off the car and shot across the air before smacking face first into a stop sign!

He then slowly slid down in and got his butt stuck in a small garbage pail, eyes rolling and a tooth gaped drooling smirk on his face...

The good news was, they had arrived directly in front of his apartment.

Joey ran over to him and helped him out of the garbage and stood him up before brushing him off. "Are you okay?!" He exclaimed, shocked that had happened to him.

Donovan's eyes were rolling around and he kept a dizzy smile on his face. "O-Oh y-yeah buttercream pie. I'm okay. Just went sailing a bit there... lookie lookie. We're here..." He said, stumbling about like a drunk before reaching the door.

Once they were inside, he wobbled his way up the stairs and tried to find his apartment room but was having trouble due to the fact that he was seeing double. Eventually, though, he made it to room 207.

"H-Here we go... ah...!" Donovan tried to put the key in the lock but kept jabbing it at the door instead. He was still really dizzy...

Joey watched him stumble around and finally when he watched him struggling with the door, gently put his hands on him to keep him steady to help open his door.

"Ohhh... thank you...!" Donovan sighed when he pushed the door open and stumbled in. He shook his head about and rubbed a hand on his head. He splayed his arms out and forced a grin. "Kay so... here's my apartment! Ta-da~!"

It was small... but it was a place to live.

Two bedrooms. A bathroom. A kitchen. And a place for a living room.

Donovan had a fairly big TV as well as a PS4 and some of his older game consoles. He also had a huge shelf, full of manga.

The first bedroom of his was a mess with clothes and underwear strung about the place. The second room wasn't occupied by anyone so it was currently being used a place to keep some of the stuff he had left over. Like boxes of comics and board games that he never played. It was also where he kept a lot of his DVDs and Blu Rays.

Joey looked around the apartment. He ignored the mess as he explored it a bit. He also paid particular attention to the empty room. "This place looks nice...and you sure you'd be okay with me being your room mate?" He asked, looking back at Donovan.

Donovan smiled. "S-Sure..." He looked to the side and fiddled with his fingers a bit, blushing. "I can't afford to be picky, really... I... I need... friends..."

He stood there, silently for a bit... then spoke up again. "Anyway, being roommates means we'll be sharing the facilities and rent here. That means we need to find you a job. Also, there's a chance we might see each other in our underwear a couple of times. No worries. It's not weird or nothing..." Donovan kept blushing as he spoke like this. Truly he wasn't very good at speaking to people. His heart was beating a mile a minute just talking to Joey. It made him need to pee.

Joey rubbed his head as he listened to everything he was saying before nodding. "I suppose that makes sense...and I HAVE been looking for a job. I'm just waiting to hear back from one of the places I applied to." He explained, not having the same difficulty talking that Donovan had.

Donovan sighed. This guy was pretty easy going. Thank goodness. Still, he wasn't sure how well this was going to go down just yet but he figured it'd be a good idea to continue trying to break the ice.

"Well, hey, let's play a video game or something. Maybe we can talk and get to know one another." Donovan said, cricking his back a bit, still stunned from getting knocked onto that car. He forgot he had a bit of a babysitting thing to do later today though. It'd come to him and he'd remember quickly however.
