Luke gave a little nod..."It was kina' embarrassin'..At some parts..But..I think he meant it in a good way..." Luke sighed as he tilted his head at the mention of Sarah.."Yeah..I saw her..She seems like she treated you real nice, and soft.." He added while setting his legs down on the floor. "And..Ist' not so bad wearin' pull-ups..Nick even said so..An' Mommy always tells us too..Right?" He points out, "I'm jus' glad yer' safe from anything.." He admits.

Connor blushes "Yea...I guess maybe....sometimes I kinda...you knoww....don' make it..." Connor admits. "An'....Mommy probly's gonna be happy.....I guess it ain't sooooooo bad..." Connor admitted with a shrug. "If th' babysitters ain't gonna say mean things....an' they're nice so....I guess they ain't gonna...an'...they can't see it...so...Imokay..." he said, finally deciding. "Wanna go downstairs, an'...an' see?"

Luke simply nods as he stands up, and helps Connor up. "Yeah..I think it'll be okay.." He says before hugging his twin.."An'..I'll tryen' make sure you do..But if ya' don't..I won't think yer' bad er' anythin..I'll make sure you'll be okay.." He says somewhat confidently in a little whisper.."An' yeah..I don' see why we can't..En' maybe later we can play 'the same game.'.."I bet they still won't know which of us is which if we do that.." Luke giggles, referring to the little antic they sometimes went with that made full use of their Twin dynamic to make them virtually the same in posture and everything.

Connor giggles a little "Yeaaaa, it'll be soooo funnyyyy..." he says, knowing they wouldn't have a chance of guessing who was who. Connor held out his hand so Luke could grab it and help Connor to his feet. "Thanks..." Connor said softly..."I'm gonna try...real real hard....t'remember....an' not you know...have a accident...." he said as confidently as he could. "I'm not gonna wait if I gotta go pee."

He slipped his hand into his brother's ready to head down the stairs.

Luke nods as he takes Connors hand once more, "Yeah, even Auntie was fooled last' time." He giggles, reminding his brother that even extended family could be fooled. The only person that seemed to be immune to their little trick was their Mother..And even Luke wasn't entirely sure how. "Yeah..I'll tryta' help..En make sure neither of us waits...We'll go together.." Luke suggests softly as he starts to head for the door.

Connor nodded firmly "T'gether," the boy repeats, miming his brother's words. It was a comforting word that was for sure. As the two approached the stairs Connor looked around wondering where the babysitters went. They had said they were going to unpack. He wondered where they'd be sleeping...not in his Mommy's bed would they? If not where? "Where are they gonna be?" he asked

Luke thought a moment.."I dunno..I thought they said somethin' about..Cleanin' the kitchen.. And unpacking..But there's lotsa' empty rooms.." He sighed while looking around as well..He wasn't sure just where they'd be, and simply tried to listen a bit to see if there was any noise coming from in the large house.

Connor listened hard, squinting his eyes, and trying to hear any sign of where the babysitters had gone. He soon heard some water running in the kitchen, where the pots and pans from the morning were being washed and put away. He pointed towards the kitchen "I hear somefin'" he said to his brother, and then the two began to walk towards the kitchen. Connor had to be pulled along by Luke just a little bit the closer they got. By this point he was almost apprehensive and afraid through habit, already knowing that the babysitters weren't that bad, but still having the memory of that fear in the back of his head and slowing him down. But the small boy didn't put up much resistance as they entered the kitchen...

Nick looked up where he had been washing the pots and pans, surprised to see his two little charges standing there, holding hands in the doorway. He knew that he and Sarah had managed to ease their fears, but he still couldn't help but feel proud inside seeing that they had come down on their own and seeked them out. "Hey, buddies, what's up?" Nick said with a smile, as he stepped towards them...

Connor took in the scene for a moment, realizing that it was just Nick in there - who Luke HAD told him was nice, to be fair - but not Sarah, who Connor had seen for himself was nice, and who he had started to feel comfortable around. Surprised when Nick stepped forward, Connor stepped back, and in an instant was hiding behind his brother. Nick frowned and stopped...realizing he had perhaps been a bit over-excited, thinking Connor had come out of his shell more than he actually had. Hoping he hadn't undone all the progress the two had made, Nick slowly went down to his knees, bringing himself closer to the boys' level.

"Hey....don't worry, it's okay..." he said, "I'm not gonna hurt you or anything...just ask Luke." he said gently, as Connor peeked his head out. Connor felt a little ashamed of himself...he had reacted so quickly he hadn't even had time to think about it. He knew Nick was friends with Sarah, and that Luke said he said nice things. But he hadn't expected it to JUST be Nick while Sarah was out of the room, and when he walked towards them that suddenly Connor had just reacted...not thinking. Now that he was there though, behind the safety of his brother, he wasn't going to step out until Luke gave him the okay. Connor poked his head out, and turned his head up to look at Luke, looking a little embarassed more than afraid at this point.

Luke nodded, he heard things coming from the kitchen, and began leading Connor in that direction by his hand, doing his best to ignore the bit of padding he felt between his legs. He figured they'd both be in the kitchen, a bit surprised to find just Nick there. Although it was incredibly easy to figure who was who for him at the moment he was sure. Despite wearing the same outfit, and looking identical their postures gave them away all to easily.

Luke stood fairly straight, in neutral posture, maybe a little reserved still, but in pretty high contrast to Connor who still had the sort that comes with being shy and a bit reclusive around new people. "Hi.." He mumbled at Nick, still a bit shy..He had just recently been seen in a sagging diaper and been changed out of it by him..So maybe more embarrassed than anything..

Upon noticing Connor back up Luke turned around to reassure him "Ist' okay..He's not so bad.." Luke whispered to his twin before slowly turning back around and gently urging Connor forward a little.

Sarah came out of the downstairs bathroom to find the twins standing nervously in the kitchen smiling as she entered, "Hey there boy's, feel free to do whatever while we clean the kitchen up and get unpacked." She encouraged while giving Connor a friendly wave, "I've got a little job for you though..I want you two to go ahead and give us a shout, or find us if you need anything, we're here to help." Sarah reminded them, hoping making a 'job' out of it might make the boys a bit more likely to ask them for help if they needed it.

When Sarah gave Connor a wave, the little boy's face broke into just a slight smile. With Luke's nod, and Sarah returning, Connor felt a little more confident to step out next to his brother. "Sorry..." Connor mumbled to Nick, actually feeling a little guilty he had hid behind his brother. After all, if he wasn't nice then Luke wouldn't like him. And if he was nice then it was kind of mean to hide behind him. His Mommy had always tried to make Connor understand how it was rude to hide behind his brother when meeting people, as it made them feel bad, but while Connor didn't understand exactly what was so rude about it, he did know that it wasn't the right thing to do, even if just because he had been told before.

Nick smiled in response "It's okay, I understand, don't worry about it." giving Connor a thumbs up. In fact, Nick was surprised that Connor had even apologized for his behavior. That had to mean that a little progress was being made. Nick realized that he also hadn't even had to think about which twin was which. It was so strange how that could happen. Nick lost himself in thought for a second, looking at the two identical boys. It looked like the same boy twice over, and yet...at the same time it didn't. The little things...the way they stood, the looks in their eyes...that was different. Of course, Nick's job had been pretty easy as Connor had almost instantly hid behind his brother so it was easy to tell who was who - all the same, though, he was a little amazed at how things like that could make it so his brain could completely overlook the identical appearences. Of course, Nick knew that if Connor was more confident, and Nick was to look away for a while, and look back, he still would have quite a bit of trouble telling them apart. Even now, when Connor stepped out from behind Luke and stood a bit more confidently, it was a little hard - though his posture was more drawn back and his eyes were more apprehensive.

Connor looked up at Sarah curiously....she had said something about a little job...Connor always enjoyed helping out grown-ups. And Sarah had been really nice. Even though Connor and Luke had been scared. Maybe if Connor and Luke did a job for her and helped her out then she would like them more and forget all about them being afraid. "Whas' th' job?" Connor asked, cocking his head to the side confused...she had said something about asking if they need help, but that sure didn't SOUND like a job.

Nick stood up, and thought for a moment, and then decided to try something just in case. "Hey you know what? I think I'm just gonna use the bathroom real fast...do you boys want to help me out and show me where it is? And hey while we're there...maybe you wanna try and go too?" he asked, innocently enough, trying to make the hinting seem as subtle as possible - not sure if he was succeeding. Weirdly enough he had almost substituted the word 'potty' in for 'bathroom'...but was that kind of talk below the kids' age level? Something about those twins though made him almost talk to them as if they were younger than their actual age. He didn't know how far to go with that. He would never admit it to the twins of course, but once he changed one of the boy's diapers it was hard NOT to see them as younger than they were. In any case, he figured it couldn't hurt to suggest they go. Maybe they could hold it just fine, but....well there had obviously been accidents in the past and you never knew. It was better safe than sorry.
