Sarah laughed as well and sighed, "They're sort of different, yet physically identical, and adorable in different ways at the same time. Luke if only because he's so serious about looking after Connor, despite being the exact same size. And Connor with how he seems to except and rely on that, and their interactions with each other.." She pointed out, "You know..I hope they don't get picked on at school..Do you think that's why Luke's so protective? Or just because their parents are busy a lot of the time?" Sarah was a bit curious, if only for general concern, but also because child psychology was her major in school.
Luke simply nodded C.N. was generally a pretty good standby for them when nothing else was available, one that would entertain, and keep them out of trouble with their parents to be sure. "They have Pokemon on Cartoon Network sometimes.." He pointed out while going through the stations to reach it at a commercial.
Playing video games was always a good activity as well, he enjoyed playing them with his twin, and gave an enthusiastic nod to the question of doing such, and simply shrugged at the second, "They're grownups'..They don' do that sorta' thing." Luke said simply, as far as he knew adults didn't really play..Well, anything..As far as he knew they just worked or did other stuff, no recess, no games, nothing fun really..

Nick stopped to think for a second "Well...I guess it's possible. They look small for their age...at least I think so, it's funny...when you see them in their night diapers it's so hard to see them as seven years old..." Nick suddenly realized that could sound kind of insensitive. "I mean, I know a lot of kids wear them, but still...I dunno they just seem so small. I hope they've never...you know...had 'accidents'....at school or something. Kids can be pretty mean...they're twins so maybe they're just really close..." Nick said hopefully, though now that Sarah had brought it up he couldn't stop thinking about the poor kids getting made fun of. Luke was so protective...and somehow Nick didn't see Connor, the shyer boy, getting along with the other kids too easily. And as for Luke...well it was hard to tell.
Downstairs Connor was thinking about what Luke had said. "Luke...whas' gonna happen when we're grownups...? Are we gonna stop playin an' havin' fun?" he asked, sounding almost sad or nervous. Sometimes Connor's brain was so active he would come out with thoughts that could seem unusual for his age...something that often led to him developing some strange fears, though his twin could always tell when something was bothering him. Connor didn't wanna be a little kid who still wet his pants...but he didn't wanna be a grownup either....

"I'm sure they'll grow up to be of average or better height, I mean they're parent's weren't short, and the Father is rather tall and well built himself..It's fairly common in twins really, especially when they're born premature and are young yet." Sarah pointed out, although she did have to agree with him, it was hard to remember they were indeed seven..Especially with Connor who didn't seem to assert himself so well as Luke did. "But..Cute as they are, kid's they're age might try to bully them just because they're a bit smaller than the rest of the class is what I meant, it's another common thing really.." Sarah sighed as she finished up the dishes. "I suppose we'll go down and check on them in a bit."
Luke simply shrugged at the question, he didn't really think too much on things that far in the future, to him it was more of the moment, and his additional boyish concerns occupied his thoughts. "Well..Uh'..We won't grow up, jus' get bigger." He giggled, "An' we'll jus' have fun then, an' not hafta' wear diapers to bed, or anythin' like that." He assured his twin with youthful idealism and confidence.

Nick nodded. "Yeah I know what you mean. Maybe it's different if there's two of them? I mean it's gotta be harder to pick on one than two right?" he said hopefully, though he wasn't really sure if that was true or not. He hoped that it was.
Connor listened to what Luke said and nodded his head. "Okay.." He said with a smile. He always believed whatever Luke told him. If Luke said something was ok, Connor believed him. And if Luke said they wouldn't become grownups then it must be true. And wearing no diapers to bed sounded awesome..."I wish I never ever ever hadda wear diapers ever again" Connor said...and one day that would hopefully come true, though it felt like it never would - and deep down Connor felt like he'd be the same size forever and never get out of them.
Connor looked at his brother. "Wanna play Lego Batman?" he asked pointing to the Wii. But if Luke wanted to play something else Connor would go along with it too.

"Depends, bully kids are like pack animals..A company of two is better than the lone lamb, but still a whole pack can take down a pair.." Sarah explained by way of metaphor. "If nothing else, I think Luke does more than a good job looking after Connor..I just worry he might actually try to take a swing at someone over the issue.." She pointed out before sitting down at the table to rest a few moments.
"They're not that bad..I mean..no as bad as other things that could happen.." Luke replied, truth be told he hated diapers as much as Connor did, if not more really..But on the few occasions they'd talked their mother into letting them go to bed without them, two bunks full of pee and soaked pajamas were enough discomfort for the both of them for Luke to tolerate wearing a diaper to bed. "I jus' wish they weren't like..Baby diapers.." He mumbled, cursing his own thin frame and small size that allowed them to fit.
Luke returned the glance, and nodded his head as he got up, "Kay' I'll gettit' He chirped, happy with the change of subject to video games.

Nick sighed...he remembered when he was in school whenever physical contact was made it didn't really matter to the teacher or staff what had started it. Punishments were dealt out pretty quickly. Of course violence was never the issue but it was hard to defend against bullying when it was such a non-option. He wasn't sure if Sarah was concerned about this or just the fact that Luke could hurt himself or another kid, but Nick hoped that he wouldn't get himself in trouble fighting or a good cause..."Yeah...I know what you mean. I just hope that Luke puts enough energy into looking after himself too."
Connor looked down for a second at the front of his overalls....the small front area...just small enough for a baby diaper to fit. Luke was right...maybe if they were big kid diapers it wouldn't be so bad....like the kinds on TV. But the baby diapers still fit them well, and unfortunately they had always done a good job of keeping them dry. But even if they were a different kind of diaper it wasn't likely to feel much better. "Yea...I guess..um...I guess it's not so bad liiike as wettin' th' bed an' stuff...." Connor said softly, trying to believe it because Luke said it but somehow he had a hard time.
But as soon as Luke said he'd get the game Connor perked up "Awesoome!" he said excitedly, as it had been a while since they'd played that game, pushing all thoughts of bedwetting and diapers out of his head, waiting to be handed a Wiimote to play. The two liked playing games like that - co-op games. They of course were in sync and always worked together well. The benefits of being twins.

"Well..Yeah hopefully, I just wonder if he could be pushed that far though." Sarah explained as she stretched a bit, "I don't even think he's dropped his guard completely yet, he's actually kind of reserved and shy in his own way..If not a little paranoid." She giggled while getting back up, "I suppose I'll go finish unpacking and getting things together." Sarah told him as she went over to the stairs.
The fact that the diapers actually worked incredibly well for them, was perhaps just as frustrating, it was hard to plea a case for something different when the current option worked perfectly well...At least the boy's diapers still allowed them to walk and move easily, and didn't make excessive amounts of noise. "Ist' okay, at least yer' safe." Luke chirped as he hugged his brother in an attempt to be positive about their current situation of being in training pants.
And with that he smiled, and ran over to the game cabinet, and dug around in the controller bin until he found the game and two Wii remotes. "Found em'" He said on his way back over to the couch after putting the game in.

Nick thought about it. "Yeah I guess he would seem pretty out of his element in a fight...can't see him hitting anybody. But who knows...? Anyways that's a good idea. Do you think there's anything we can do with the boys today? I want them to feel comfortable around us....I mean I think they're trying and they seem to be easing up a little bit...Connor seems to like YOU at least....but I dunno, I want them to feel safe...I felt so bad for them this morning." he said, thinking about how scared they would be.
Downstairs Connor leaned into the hug from his brother, and nodded in reply though he didn't say anything. It was true that anything was better than wet pants or wet beds...especially in front of the babysitters. Well getting changed by them wasn't so great either....but Connor got so upset after accidents he couldn't change himself then either, so it didn't make all that much of a difference. At least nothing got wet, and at least Connor didn't need a bath or anything. A bath after an accident always made Connor feel like such a baby...the diapers were a little better.
Eagerly he grabbed one of the Wii controllers after Luke jumped on the couch, looking forward to playing one of his favorite games. He let Luke be player 1. He was fine going along with Luke's choices.

"Well, if they're up to it we could play a board game, or maybe Simon says or something like that in the yard.." Sarah listed off a few good, yet safe activities boy's their age might enjoy. "Or we could just try and play whatever the are." She suggested after a moment, "It'll come, don't worry, once they see we're just here to take care of them, and maybe have a little fun with them, they'll loosen up, probably by tomorrow I'm sure." She assured him before heading upstairs.
Luke let the game load and kicked his feet at the air beneath them as he sat on the couch waiting. He was actually fairly good at the game, most puzzles he was able to solve with relative ease, and remember ones he'd done before to complete them even more quickly. Of course, like most little boy's, making the enemies fall to pieces was his favorite part of the game, and got the most giggles out of him at funnier moments.

Nick sighed "Well I hope so," as he went to get his own bag as well. She was probably right, they would come around. It just might take a bit of time.
Downstairs, Connor was sitting next to his brother on the couch. At the moment he was playing as Robin. Though there were many characters to choose from in the game, Connor mostly liked playing as the good guys, and though he loved the Batman game, he didn't exactly know very many of the Batman characters. He usually just picked Batman or Robin, and switched between the two of them, depending on what skills he needed, or if his brother wanted to pick one of those two. He was also fairly good at the game, video games coming pretty naturally to him - it helped that he had his twin to play with all the time and get better.
The time seemed to pass rather quickly and after a while, Connor almost forgot that the babysitters were upstairs. It felt like just a regular Saturday morning, no different than any other morning. He felt very at ease, which was a nice change from how his day had started. The time seemed to fly by.
After a while, Nick approached Sarah upstairs. "So do you think we should go down and check on them? It looked like there was a TV down there and a bunch of video games, so I'm sure they're ok...but still" he said with a shrug.
