Nefarious opened the book from the top of the stack and flipped through the pages. "It looks like these books are written in our language," she said. "That's a relief. This one looks like a children's fairytale or something." She set it aside and opened up the next one. "Huh." She showed the book to Hopper: it was a scrapbook, and the photos inside depicted a family of scrawny hairless monkey-people. "They wear clothes," she pointed out, even though she knew it was probably a dumb observation. "Sorry. I was just curious about whether the natives wear clothes because of the whole messing thing. But in these pictures they're always wearing clothes, all the time. It's actually kind of freaky. Maybe it's to make up for not having fur?"

"What?" Was Hopper's initial response before she shook her head. "Okay, that's nice and all, but we need to focus on what we came here for. You can keep the book because that may help us in the future, but lets not get off track here." The Lagomorph said before she decided to go ahead and sit down, shivering a bit as she felt some left over water get squeezed from her fur. "A-Anything else that isn't a book?" She asked a little quieter as she remember Inky and Sprocket were sleeping downstairs.

Nefarious wondered why she was the one doing all the legwork, but her relationship with Hopper was strained enough right now, and she didn't want to do anything that would rock the boat any further.
Next to the books, she spotted a chest. She knelt down and flipped open the locks, then pushed it open and peered inside. "This could be useful," she said, pulling out a frilly dress, pushing it into a ball and tossing it over to Hopper. "There's a ton of spare clothes in here. Most of it probably doesn't fit or wouldn't contain a mess anyway, and that dress is hideous, but this is better than nothing."

"I'm pretty sure this won't be fitting any of us." Hopper said as she examined the dress for herself. She had then simply folded it up and tossed it down where they could get to it later. "Anything else in there or was that about it?" She asked as she was ready to step back down stairs here. "If you do find something that is what we're actually looking for, that would be a little more better than what you just gave me, we'll get it on Sprocket and Inky after we explain thing to them.

"Like I said, there's a ton of clothes in here. It would take a while to go through it all." Nefarious looked up from the chest and spotted something gathering dust behind it. "Hang on, what's this?" She pushed the chest aside and dragged out a mechanical sewing machine. "It looks like a device for stitching cloth," she said. "Even if none of the clothes in here are what we need, we can use the materials to make something that is."

"Okay... But do you even know how to use that thing? Hopper asked. "Because if you don't, I don't think we have any band aids here that we can put on you if you wind up stabbing your finger with it some how." Hopper said as she came over to Nefarious, balancing carefully on the plank below. "Also, won't we need power? This place doesn't look like it has power."

Nefarious grinned smugly. "You forget that I'm a certified supergenius. If anyone can figure out how to get this thing to work, I can. I bet it won't even be a challenge." But she would figure out how to use it later. She looked at area exposed when she'd pushed the chest aside. "Hang on, there's something else back here," she said. She got on her hands and knees and crawled in, emerging with a cardboard box painted in bright pastel colors. "Look, it has a picture of one of those monkeys!" she said, gesturing to a kid standing up, his fists raised in the air triumphantly, an incredibly thick garment on his waist.

"What is that?" Hopped questioned as she looked at the package and its imagery. Reaching into the packaging, she had proceeded to pull one of those thick garments from it. Examining it a bit, she said to Nefarious, "What even are these?" Then she began to unfold and and examine it some more, "Do you think these might help the others?" There may need to be modifications to these things if they were hoping to have them on their bodies for so long as they were there.

Nefarious looked at the garment, moving her head to see it from different angles while Hopper held it. "I don't know; I've never seen anything like those," she said. "There sure were a lot of them in the box, so I think it's okay if some of them get ruined. Out of all the other clothes, these certainly appear to be the best candidates. Why don't you try it on?"
But even if they were practical, Nefarious wasn't sure she liked them. They were so plain, and she didn't want to wear something that didn't make her stand out. She dug through the other clothes, looking for fabrics that would be able to safely hold any mess she made in them.

While Nefarious was doing that, Hopper was doing just as she had been suggested: To put one of them on. She didn't see anything wrong with them so far, so she had gone for it. They felt rather soft on her waist and extremely comfortable. She had lightly smiled and then commented, "These things probably would have been nice to wear in the past." Then, looking to Nefarious, she asked, "I'm guessing you're going to go for something that makes you stand out like a sore thumb." Hopper knew Nefarious had a bit of an ego so it shouldn't have been too much of a surprise that she may have read her mind entirely here.
