(Naturally, this game also gives Desmond the most to do in any part of his story, it arguably has the biggest and best modern-day plot of any of the games)

(So I gathered. Also, I love how they got John de Lancie to voice his father.)

However, it was not whom she was expecting. It was her friend, Maria Mozzi, now Maria Auditore.

(In terms of "star" power, Kristen Bell is the biggest the series has ever had, and the only other voice people would recognize for sure is also in AC 3, as Kevin R. McNally voices a character very much like Gibbs in the Pirates of the Caribbean series)

"Maria, what brings you over?" she asked, smiling widely.

"What; I need an excuse or a reason to see my best friend?" the noblewoman said, smirking a bit. She stepped forward and hugged her.

She hugged back. "It's great to see you, Maria." She bounced Leonardo in her arms.

"You, as well," Maria asserted. She smiled down at Leonardo and tickled his chin. She currently had no children of her own, but that would change soon enough.

"Leonardo is everything to me," she stated. "And why I made myself a maid in his father's household."

"Commendable of you," Maria stated, "If ever there is anything I can do to help, you need only say so."

Caterina beamed at that. "That means a lot, Maria. Thank you." She began to prep for the move. Apparently Leonardo's father, Ser Piero da Vinci, was a notary, like his father before him, and recently married, hoping for children of his own. Clearly, he was going to be quite an absentee, uninvolved father, like many of his peers.

Maria helped Caterina wherever she could. "Other than caring for Leonardo and tending to his father's household, do you have any other plans for your future?"
