Burnish is barely able to get through the elf's armor and do major damage to her, while Shanara drops the wolf tamer.

Heavy Crossbower A will take a 5 ft. step back and will try to cast defensively (Concentration: (15) + 5 = 20, pass.) She will then point her heavy crossbow to Shanara to make her think she's aiming to attack him. (DC 13 will save or the only way to attack next turn is to fight defensively.)

Heavy Crossbower B will take a 5 ft. step back, spend a point as she assumed a fey form, and then fired a barrage towards Burnish (Attack 1: (Nat 20), Crit confirm: (10) + 3 = 13, Damage: (8) + 1 = 9. Attack 2: (5) + 3 = 8.)

(Will: (16) + 2 = 18.) The wolf is unwilling to run away as it fights to protect it's owner, and tries to bite Shanara. (Attack: (5) + 3 = 8.)

"O-ow!" Burnish exclaims as a bolt hits him in the side. Though not quite as painful as it otherwise could've been, it does sting quite a bit. "This is all YOUR fault!!" He exclaims furiously as he tears into the crossbower he takes a five foot step towards.

Shanara ignored the crossbow's threat, as well as the wolf's scrabbling claws. She beats her wings in a powerful plume of fire to burn away the wolf attacking her. (27 to hit, 13+1)

Burnish is able to down heavy crossbower A down, while Shanara deals a serious blow on the wolf.

The remaining elf with a heavy crossbow took another 5 ft. step back and attacked Shanara with a barrage. (Attack 1: (17) + 3 = 20, Damage: (9) + 1 = 10. Attack 2: (6) + 3 = 9.)

(Will: (4) + 2 = 6.) The wolf's survival urge finally overcame it's willingness to protect it's master and it takes a withdrawal action to try to get away without provoking AoO's.

Shanara let the wolf run, the plume of flame incinerating the two crossbow shots fired at her. Turning, she went after the offending crossbow wield in a raging leap of blue fire. (23 to hit, 15+4 damage)

And with that, the crossbow goes down.

(Amusing that you won't go after the wolf, then you're out of combat. You all gain 405 exp, even Cetishil. Two minutes later, Cetishil will pass the running away wolf and make it back to the party. Cetishil will also notice that Burnish smells stinky.)
