Shanara growled in pain as the creature grabbed her and started trying to melt her, but her skin flared with psionic resilience, protecting her clothing and armor.

(7+12+4=23, 18+12+4-4= 30, both pass.) Screaming in pain as the acidic attacks hurt her quite badly, she lashed out in fear and panic.

(Full Attack: Beak 7+15-4=18 to hit for 15 piercing and 5 fire. Talons 6+15-4=17 and 6+15-4=17 to hit for 12 slashing with 4 fire and 16 slashing with 3 fire. If a hit causes it to split and release the grapple then the -4 shouldn't be there, and I'll just keep mauling pieces cause I don't really have an alternative. Also when do my temps from Cestishil recharge?)

(I'm going to just say that if you're being grappled by one of the oozes and it splits, a new one splits behind it but the original one is still doing the action that it was doing before. That's how I'm going to rule it. Also, you couldn't make the attack expect on your turn and it already got a hold on you by then.)

(Well the ooze that attacked you during it's turn has the grab ability, so it can make a grapple check if it his with that attack as a free action at that time. So Shanara's turn started with her in a grapple. I just reacted kike that because you didn't make a grapple check, but I remember now that you can choose to not do it to do other stuff like deal damage with a single light or one-handed weapon without needing an attack roll.)

(I'm just making a full attack with non-two handed weapons, yeah. Not bothering to try and escape the grapple, or take any of the grapple actions. Admittedly because I was expecting it to release me when it split, but eh. More productive than wasting my turn trying to escape when they grab as part of their attack.)

Burnish's scream did the trick and the ooze let go of Shanara as it was dazed long enough for Shanara to finish it.

The second ooze is pounded by the hooves but doesn't split as it attacks the unicorn again. (Attack: (6) + 8 = 14. If that hits then it takes ((3) + (1) = 4) + 4 = 8 damage and ((4) + (4) = 8) + 4 = 12 points of acid damage. If it hits, it also gets to make a grapple check: (13) + 16 = 29. If the unicorn ends up becoming grappled, then it takes an additional ((6) + (2) = 8) + 4 = 12 damage and ((1) + (1) = 2) + 4 = 6 points of acid damage.)

The third ooze now moves up now that a spot is free and attacks Shanara. (Attack: (18) + 8 = 26. If that hits then she takes ((6) + (4) = 10) + 4 = 14 damage and ((3) + (5) = 8) + 4 = 12 points of acid damage. She'll also have to make a DC 21 reflex save to avoid having her clothing and armor take damage from the acid. If it hits, it also gets to make a grapple check: (13) + 16 = 29. If Shanara ends up becoming grappled, then she takes an additional ((2) + (6) = 8) + 4 = 12 damage and ((3) + (4) = 7) + 4 = 11 points of acid damage that also damages her clothing and armor if she doesn't make a DC 21 reflex save with a -4 modifier to it.)

Shanara's shell had flickered when the ooze earlier assaulted her, but tearing it apart invigorated the shell enough block the oozes attack, leaving her unmelted for now. She was looking better thanks to Cetishil's recovery magic. Another flurry of beak and talons met the ooze.
(14+15=29 for 9 piercing+4fire, 12+15=27 for 11 slashing and 4 fire, 3+15=18 for 14 slashing and 2 fire.)

The unicorn prances out of the way of the attack, and strikes again with it's hooves. (Attack rolls 2+13=15, 3+13=16, damage 5, 6 bludgeoning.)
Cetishil continues trying to aid Shanara. She takes the essence she gave Shanara and replaces it with three from her healing veil, then she touches Shanara with her horn to give her even more temp hp. (Shanara gains 21 temp hp from the horn, 15 from the new essence, DR 3/- and +3 to saves.)

Burnish's and the Unicorn's attacks pound the ooze attacking the Unicorn, but it's still up and attacks the unicorn once more. (Attack: (4) + 8 = 12.)

Shanara's attacks come all it once and gets enough off of the ooze that it can't split anymore. Still, it'll attack her once again. (Attack: (13) + 8 = 21.)
