As Pax devoured the laced treats there was a knock on the door. Behind the door was a woman in servant's garbs. She carried a container as she had a smile on her face. The container has a skeletal structure inside. The skeleton structure of a rabbit. Rabbits tend to be the main pray of wolves. To make one think she was sent by wolves. In reality, she is an assassin on her person is a poison tipped stake.

Ulix heard the knock on the door and had decided to close to the box of treats while giving Pax a little scratch on the head. "Sit tight." He told him before heading over to the door. Ulix often tended to stand tall compared to most people, so he was already looking down from the slight opening in the door he made to see who was there. He didn't enjoy showing Pax off to the people, even if they already knew of him.

"Hello there. Do you need something?" He asked. Despite being basically royalty, Ulix was never one for treating others as if they were below him from the start. One could consider it him just being humble, or just nice. That may also explain why he was regarding her with that usual creepy smile he tended to have on that somewhat flat face of his.

The assassin in servant's clothing looked up at him and bowed to him "I bring a gift. May i come in and give it to you or perhaps sit it somewhere for later?" She requested. When she bowed she made sure to have her head be in a certain position to avoid sticking herself with her own poisonous stake.

Ulix looked back for a moment and then lightly shook his head. "I'm sure that I can easily just take the gift from here. There is no need for you to enter if that is all you are bringing." He said, opening the door lightly more, but still blocking the view of the room with his body for the most part. "Although, if I may ask... Who is it from? I'm quite sure that nobody in there is that generous. Especially the lizard with how she reacts towards my attempts at flirting."

Ulix is weird.

"I am not sure sir. The package arrived from a man in a cart. They have mentioned nothing or have mentioned where it was addressed from." She says waiting for a good opening to make her strike. She's so close she is about to see the moment. "What does he mean?" Pax says inside his ears twitching listening to the conversation as he nibbles on the treat. "No cart has even passed here since the morning. I would have smelled heard and smelled someone approaching." He carelessly says more confused by the woman's statement then calling her lie.

Ulix already wasn't exactly trusting, and there was a very obvious reason as to why. He was very, very old, and lived a peculiar sort of life that most common people wouldn't. People tried to kill him before, so this was sort of run of the mill.

So, that smile faded into a more deadpan look. Pretty much ignoring Pax at this point, he decided to say, "Ma'am, I'll have you know that already sounds awfully suspicious, so rather than accepting this with open arms, I will simply turn it away. Whoever sent it may know that, if they are to give anything to someone in a position such as mine, they're going to have to be more than just some anonymous stranger with a heart. Or some idiot with a stake."

With that, he began to close the door, stepping back behind it slightly, leaving only his face and hands to be seen. "So please, you may just dispose of it or keep it for yourself."

She tried not to let her face betray her emotions. She was shocked by these turn of events. She played along with him "I apologize sir. Allow me to dispose of this." She turns away going to place the box somewhere. Her employers have a backup plan that was.........less subtle

Ulix had watched her step away before he eventually did much the same. Except only he had followed her, standing by the door as he shut it behind him. He had very, very little trust of this entire situation, if one couldn't tell. As he was watching the "servant," he said, "You know that what you're likely about to do is going to end horribly, correct?"

The "servant girl" turns to him putting on an admittedly good face. She's clearly a professional but even pros can't handle Ulix. "My lord I do not know what you mean? I am going to dispose of the package as you wanted" she states being quite the good liar. She must be from some sort of guild of assassins or maybe she was trained by a lord. She is no amateur and that is lightly disturbing

Ulix didn't seem to be buying into it all that much. "Hm. Well, in that case, by all means, do go off and dispose of it however you would like." He said, still standing there. He had somewhat of an idea on how to handle this at the moment. Returning to the room he left Pax inside of as means of tending to him and also enacting this plan. They were simply going to move rooms without make themselves known. Quite easy, one may say.

When reentering, he walked over to Pax and said, "How are you feeling right now?"
