There weren't even other families, tribes, houses, or clans being represented at this meeting. This was meeting wasn't much based on race. The diverse races here was honestly coincidence. The only races that were completely unified were dwarves. Vampires and Elves tend to be closer but ideals or greed tend to get in the way of comeplete unification. Even then these are only those of this country. This meeting's topic was to possibly form a trade agreement among these specific groups. Some could profit from making a deal with certain groups in this meeting. Others would need more to make this worth their while

"Certainly." Ulix said with a little nod and a toothy grin at Kaiha. That goofiness he often tended to have was showing again. While when he was younger it would have made many scoff and roll their eyes, his current status and position made it quite clear that this wasn't a joke. However, Ulix was, surprisingly enough, a rather kind vampire lord compared to most. Not gullible though, just respectable... And creepy.

"So, from what I recall, someone here suddenly came short on supplies, correct? What exactly was it that was needed from us specifically?" He asked, mostly eyeing his fellow vampire lord. He knew he wasn't to be entirely trusted, but he also knew he wasn't to be entirely untrustworthy either.

Leonardo Grace a middle aged human with a scar over his neck spoke up "Ay, it would be us. The city of Scarborough is suffering. If it were a famine alone this'd be a much smaller meeting. But its that, bandits, foreign pirates and raiders from the Isle of Kind. Overall we need help and we cant just ask one of yas for aid. That'd be asking too much" he explained in his thick accent. Isah spoke up next "I would assume you seek the aid from the Dwarven Union to grant you supplies. The Lizards for aid with your crops, the pointy ears for capital, and the vamps for extra muscle. Am I right in that?" The look on his face says she hit her lightly racist assumption on the head. Deacon pulls an odd move and speaks next "This agreement sounds quite fine and dandy for you but what do we recieve in return? What can you possibly give everyone here?" He says with a smirk on his face. Pax looks at everyone's expressions. Kaiha just stares down Leonardo, Isah sits back with her arms crossed with an annoyed glance, Griffith looks board as his human servant fans him, and then there's daddy. Pax looks up curiously to see what his daddy's face reads

Ulix looked entirely calm at the moment, but it was quite clear he was thinking as well. “At best, I may be able to provide you with a few of my own servants. However, Deacon, as judgemental as I am of him, does have a point. Doing little trades free of charge can become expensive on what resources we do have.” He then leaned over, resting his head in an open palm. “And I doubt you would want to trade people for our people when this is the sort of ordeal you’re going through.” He stated while drumming his fingers on the table. Occasionally he glanced down at Pax to make sure he wasn’t acting up.

Pax was being a good little baby sitting on the floor quietly trying to avoid sucking his thumb. Leonardo looked to Deacon for a quick moment then looked to Ulix. "I understand that. I would not set this all up with nothing to give myself. The people are willing to aid however we can. We can traid what minerals we have to the dwarves and even have some of us work the mines. We can have some of our own aid in the research Kaiyah's tribe are involved in. Maybe give some of the corpses of our loved ones to you. To Mr. Griffith, you and your house can have some of ours work as indentured servants. Lord Deacon and Lord Ulix we can possibly work something out in terms of.....food?" Deacon spoke up next. Oddly a little too quickly like he did not need to think about it." My my that is quite the deal. I must say. Of course to enter in a agreement with everyone I think we could all trade with each other as well. We all have something to give." He says with a smirk looking at the others

Ulix had reached down and gave Pax's head a pat and ears a little scratch. Of course, given that he was currently behind a desk of sorts, nobody else could see this happening unless they were sitting next to him. "We don't exactly have a shortage on food, but with increasing numbers, it would be appreciated." He told him with a short nod. "As for the rest of that, I'm quite sure that we're already in trade with each other. This happening will likely put strain on all of us as one of our allies may not be able to give as much as they'll be taking for the time being. Are you suggesting that someone else is given more out of this?"

As it would be there would be no telling who would have the most to lose "I agree with Lord Ulix" Kaiyah states "While on the surface we would all profit from increasing our trade borders. There is something quite unsettling of this. The humans would be sacrificing much of their people, quite willingly for this." Griffith speaks up next "Let it be it seems that all we have to do is throw in a few coins for mercenaries and we get extra servants for long periods of time." He says with an egotistical smirk as a chalice of aged ale is brought to him. Pax resists the urge to pant as he is scratched and played with. He lays down for belly rubs. Ulix gave Griffith a toothy little grin as he also tended to Pax, lightly scratching his belly. "You certainly are right, that may work, but I do believe that this is an issue that could easily persist. Once you have an easy target, you don't just stop going at it, even if there is a little resistance. We all know this." He then leaned back slightly. "So are you sure that mercenaries alone may be enough to help out our human allies?" While saying this, he looked down at Pax for a moment and lightly pressed a hand against the front of his pants, checking his diaper for anymore sogginess. He was given him a bit of a look, as if to show he was clearly wondering something. If his hand placement was any indication, it was the condition of his diaper.

Soaked to the core. The boy was quite delighted from scratches and belly rubs and his wagging tail, which luckily wasn't making sound by hitting anything. So he won't be complaining for a bit. Deacon had a quick frown but switches back to his smirk. "Of course Lord Ulix. You an elder one speak with the most wisdom. What do you suggest to aid this little human's problems?" He asks crossing his leg and leaning on the arm of his chair with his knuckles to his cheek

Ulix could feel that he was soaked and rolled his eyes. Seemed like they were going to have a problem ahead of them. Now he was starting to regret having fed Pax so much as he was sure he was going to be much worse in the back than he was in the front. Not wanting to focus too much on him at the moment, he answered Deacon's question. "I'll allow for a few of my servants to go over there. They would last much longer in fights compared to a human. If raiding is the main issue, then there needs to be some boost to your defenses. Something they can easily adjust quite well."

And then Isah spoke up. "And what about us. Just leaving them with your servants is bound to cause something to go wrong." she said, giving Ulix a hard glare, not trusting him one bit. Ulix didn't get to where he was in power off of the back of being fair, after all.

"I can assure you that it will be completely safe. They're servants, after all, not barbarians like quite a few of your people." He said, grinning widely at the look she got from him. He could tell she would have loved to just smack the grin off of his face, but she knew that she couldn't. It filled him with such joy!
