“I have had sweetheart. I’ve made 3 at first just to be recognized by the federation as a private entity assisting them where they needed help, and each one was denied. I then tried twice more with evidence from doing my own business outside of Federation co trolled planets, and even then they denied me and threatened jail and treason for competing against them. So now I piggy back their signals and join them at each new planet, sneak in, get what I can, and sneak out” he explains with a sigh.

“It’s more complicated than you may have judged” he adds

As their soup was brought with drinks, as an appetizer, he playfully, scooped up a small cooked vegetable, likely a potato, and carefully flung it at her, hitting her cheek gently while he smiled.

"Don't beat yourself up about it Lieutenant. When we first met, I was some stranger to you, and given what I wanted to do was illegal. Until we really got around to chatting, you never would have known" he explains. "I'm sorry for how aggressive I've been" he adds then began eating from his soup.

"Ya got something on your cheek there" he teases then stuck his tongue out at her. Clearly he was a somewhat lawless and cheeky sort.

Amelia couldn't help but chuckle at Matt's playfulness. "It's okay, just please promise you won't try and do anything physical to me unless I say it's okay." Amelia said as she started to eat her food.
