Fiction Section Failure.

So time after time again, i continuously try to post my stories.

and every time i post them to the Communal Section of the site, they get denied because they're showing up as a wall of text, i've used 2 different typing programs to type up my stories, and make them work. but they failed both programs. so its not my end causing it.

what i wanna know is why is it only me having the problem of being unable to get stories up?

I've talked to just about every mod on this site, and gotten nothing for answers. Why do my stories always show up as a wall of text? not like i haven't seen a few stories that have been approved that are just walls of text. but why are mine showing up no matter how many times i press enter as just walls of text?

How about you try copying and pasting one paragraph at a time? Have you tried that before?

It would take WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY too long to do it like that, even for my shortest story. besides, it don't seem like it would help any, considering i've gone in and edited the "wall-of-text" version that shows up sometimes after i post it and it awaits approval and went back and added all of the spaces and everything ON HERE and it still failed drastically, i think its more so a site problem and not a copy&paste problem

Have you tried speaking with Ai or Stoner? They are the more technical mods here.

And would it really hurt to try?

i have yet to speak with them, i know Ai is the creator of the site, so i should speak with him.

and well it wouldn't hurt to try it like that, but again, thats gonna take way too long, it'd take me an hour just to post 1 chapter most likely doing it like that.

lm just curious, but what browser do you use? l do admit there have been some issues before of this kind but l find it hard to recreate.

my assumption is that some features might be disabled on your browser.. java being disabled could be a contributing factor in some cases. on a similar note, what editing progs do you use as well? as on occasion some of the non-standard ones dont parce the text the same as others but again generally it shouldnt be a problem.

i use Google Chrome and make sure all features are enabled at all times.
as for programs, i tried the initial copied and pasted from WordPad to here, but when that failed, i tried copying, pasting, and editing using Notepad, and that failed also. i don't have Microsoft Word cause its too expensive. and i never use Internet Explorer cause frankly it sucks haha worst web browser i've ever used. not to mention it takes 20 minutes to load the home page (not an exaggeration) and it takes 10 minutes to let me even type in the site i wanna go to, and then another 20 minutes of loading. and for each page i go to, it takes forever to load it.

Wordpad and notepad aren't very good programs for that,there's a reason the sites that I post stories on doesn't accept documents from them

if you have a system that can't download microsoft word then I would advise downloading openoffice.org. It's a program that's pretty much the same and it works perfectly fine on my mac.

i don't see why they wouldn't work, i mean when you copy and paste it all copies and pastes the same. it don't make much sense to me. i'd have open office if i still had my linux, but the monitor is shot and i can't do anything about it sadly. i really don't like downloading millions of programs to this just to do something that a program i already have can do. i guess i can try it, but in all honesty, i never liked that program.

Well that was a waste, i copied and pasted my story from OpenOffice.Org after it taking all night to install, and my story is STILL showing up as a wall of text and being denied. Well i guess i won't be uploading any of my stories here, plain and simple, it sucks, but theres nothing I can do about it.

By chance do you have a landline wire connection? If so then that explains the slow speed of things another could be the fact some web engines in one area has alot of web traffic.

I say this as before I had a dsl wireless connect it was even slower then what you stated having the landline connection but afterwords when I got the dsl wireless connection set up it went up in moments.

Another thing when did you last use windows? My newest computer[ Its about 5 or 6 years old and now it's outclassed by newer up to date computer tech and models ] I had bought it to replace my almost completely fried 10 year old computer thing died after a storm hit the power lines. Anyway the then new, now 6 year old computer came with a free copy of whatever the version of windows that was made 6 years back and it suits my needs all around. Even web browsing but I prefer firefox for web-browsing as it has spellcheck that stays on.

Also apple computer programing is better less virus trouble for most makers of net virus's target the more commonly used programs,
