Fire Emblem: Past and Future Bonds (Private)

The girl felt a weird tingling sensation in her chest and stomach as her mother lightly grabbed her hand, that blush again returning. But something about that felt a little nice, sort of similar to the feelings of genuine gratefulness and appreciation whenever the woman made her a delicious meal and chipped away at that stubborn, bratty core for just a moment. "Um... well, I wanna do something... beats the absolute crap out of sitting on my ass all day... but the further away from people seeing me like this, the better... so... huh..." Severa was lost in deep thought, really unsure of what she wanted to do. She couldn't think of many indoor activities that would keep her occupied for the rest of the day; most of how she spent her time was outdoors training. Given her injuries and her mother's persistence of wanting to keep her from further hurting herself, that obviously was impossible.

Kind of seeing what her tomboyish daughter was getting at, Cordelia tried to think of a nice compromise between letting the crippled girl get outside but keeping her safe while she healed. "Well...How about we spend some time getting some fresh air out in the back yard? Maybe we can do some more reading together out in the sun? You seemed to like it a lot yesterday..." She suggested. "Plus, the fence will keep you out of sight for the most part so you won't have to be shy."

That was one part that the girl honestly enjoyed; being enthralled by the tales of noble warriors, of kings and kingdoms that arose and fell, of great dynasties throughout the centuries in their land. Tales of romanticism and heroism that were actually real that were told with such passion by her mother. "That actually... sounds nice. Let's do that," Severa replied with a small smile, finding it to be a genuinely good idea herself.

The pegasus knight grinned. "I thought that might sound good to you. Come on, let's go pick out a book..." She replied sweetly, lifting the diapered teen into her arms and carrying her out of her room yet again.
The pair soon reached Cordelia's room and ended up in front of her bookcase. "Let's see...I believe we ended here last time..." She said to herself, supporting Severa with one arm while she traced her finger along the shelf and books, ending on the one that they had been reading the day previous. "Hmm...How does the Holy War sound as a topic for today?" Cordelia suggested, pulling a new book of the shelf.

The girl was practically sitting right on the woman's hip, her arms and legs coiled around her to prevent herself from falling, but Cordelia was lifting her up with ease and without any sort of restraint or difficulty. It was strikingly similar to how a mother would hold a 2 year-old baby...

The girl didn't care as much about this as she did the continuation of the story, though. "Sounds like a plan," Severa replied, having half-forgotten some of the details but eager to be refreshed.

Cordelia chuckled to herself and walked out of her room. "Good, now let's get some fresh air..." She cooed, carrying her daughter out into their back yard and blinking as the sun hit her eyes. It was a beautiful day outside, as the woman had known when suggested this idea. There were very few clouds in the sky, and it felt nice and pleasantly warm (hopefully not too warm for Severa in her pajamas). Perfect weather for this activity.
However, there was soemthing that Cordelia hadn't considered. There weren't any places they could sit side by side like they did the night before! It was then an idea came to her.

Sitting down in one of the large lawn chairs they had in the back, she simply sat Severa down in her lap like a child and opened the book there. "So, where did we leave off..." She said before starting to read to the girl once again.

The girl was a bit surprised as the woman sat down and placed her in her lap, intent on just keeping her in this position. She would have protested this, but she figured it wasn't worth the time and wasted effort. Plus, it was nice to be up close enough to really look at some of the wonderful illustrations that accompanied the stories. "Um... I don't really remember... something about a... king? I dunno..." Severa replied, just relaxing in the woman's arms and taking a breath of fresh air. It was nice to be outside again after a few days, and the house they lived in was in a somewhat remote part of the kingdom where very few people passed by, so it made sitting like this less awkward.

The young woman couldn't help a small giggle. "Well let's see..." She cooed before opening up the book and turning to the first page. After making sure they were both comfy, she cleared her throat before starting to read. "Long, long ago...."

Detail by detail, she told multiple stories to the small girl in her lap, making sure to add a sense of wonder and mysticism to her tone to make the tales that much more epic and awe-inspiring. Cordelia loved how much Severa seemed to enjoy this, so she was more than prepared to make sure she continued to be interested in these stories.

The girl just sat there, in inspired awe at some of the tales of grandeur and heroism matched by nothing she had heard or experienced before. She was constantly pulling herself closer to the book, all the while unconsciously pulling herself in closer to her mother and managing to rest her head on her shoulder. The girl asked questions and got answers, usually resulting in a "woah" or "wow" just at the surprise of some of the responses she received.

During the "story time", however, the young girl relaxed her body yet focused so much of her attention on the book that she failed to notice the growing sensation of warm urine collecting in the front of her diaper... though like other times, the numbness in that area among other factors usually prevented her from noticing.

Unfortunately for the girl now sitting in her soggy diaper, Cordelia had no real way to determine that she was wet. As she had her pajama pants on, the thick flannel masked the saturated feel of the padding under her bottom, as well as muffled the telltale slight sounds of urination or vibration. Plus, since they were outside, there was no way to really to really pin the slight smell of ammonia in the air to Severa. The smell of pee wasn't quite as distinct as the other thing that Severa did in her diapers...

So, attributing the warm feeling in her lap to Severa's body heat, the motherly knight read for a little bit longer before reaching the end of the section they had been reading. However, instead of just getting right into the next section like before, she paused and looked down at her daughter. "Before we go into the next chapter, are you feeling okay cutie-pie? Are you getting too hot at all? Thirsty?"
