The trick worked, the girl beginning to coo underneath the rubber nipple of the baby bottle with the woman's words. The pace started to slow, but it didn't reverse the fast pace the girl was drinking at earlier... and this resulted in her starting to hiccup, the first one causing milk to shoot out of her cheeks and dribble down her face to be caught by the bib.

The motherly woman smiled when Severa relaxed a little while she drank, but quickly sprung into action again when she started to hiccup. Fortunately, the bib caught most of the lost milk. "I think that's enough of your baba for now dear..." She said, quickly but gently popping the nipple out of the girl's mouth and moving a napkin up to her lips to clean her up a little.

The girl opened her eyes a few seconds after the bottle was removed, looking confused as the woman started to wipe her cheeks with a napkin. "M-mama? What are you doing?" She asked.

Smiling at her once she opened her eyes, Cordelia spoke up. "You looked like you had a little case of the hiccups while you were drinking your bottle, so I figured that was enough milk for now. You have to save some for the rest of your dinner after all." She explained warmly, dabbing up the last bit of milk On the girl's chin.

"Oh... well, um... okay, I guess..." Severa replied, shrugging it off as the hiccups went away as quickly as they started. Looking down, she was almost finished... but oddly enough, she wasn't as hungry as she usually was, feeling a tad full now.

Cordelia couldn't help but notice that the girl didn't look quite as hungry as she did before, looking down at the food on her plate with a look of indifference. "How about you just finish off what's left on your plate, and then you can finish your bottle, okay honey?" She offered.

"Oh... I guess I could... do that..." Severa replied, accepting whatever food was left as the woman continued the process of feeding her. Once her plate was cleared, it felt as if the girl's stomach was about to burst... but why? This was a somewhat small meal for someone of her appetite.

Once the little remaining food the girl's plate was gone, her mother was concerned at how queasy and uncomfortable the girl looked. She wasn't feeling any ill effects herself, so Cordelia doubted it had to do with the food itself. What was the problem? Severa usually ate much more than this. "Is everything okay sweetie? Feeling alright?" Cordelia asked, gently rubbing the diapered girl's back.

Cordelia was now visibly concerned. "Honey, what's wrong? Where does it hurt?" She asked, scooting her chair over so that she was right next to her daughter. It looked like she was holding her stomach...So it had to do with what she had just ate...What could the issue be?
