The girl continued to respond favorably to the woman's gentle words and careful, soothing actions. Severa kept that slightly happy look along with those faint noises with more mumbles, some of which actually somewhat intelligible:

"Mmm... m... ma... mmm..." They, however, were extremely quiet, only noticeable with an ear kept close and a keen sense of hearing at one's disposal (which Cordelia happened to have). If they were louder, it'd give the impression that the girl was having a wonderful dream, or was even close to waking up. Alas, she kept her body still during the bathing from the woman.

Realizing her barely recognizable words weren't a sign of Severa waking up, her mother still smiled to herself at what she heard in the murmur. "That's right baby...Mama's right here with you..." She replied warmly, rubbing the non-injured part of her back. She was so precious like this...if only she were actually conscious.
Continuing to cuddle and coo assuringly to the girl in her lap, she took a sponge and body soap from the edge of the tub and lathered it up before beginning to gently clean Severa off, washing away all the dried blood and dirt that had been there before. Of course, she was gentle with the stitched-up area, not wanting to damage the binding or cause her daughter any pain.

The girl continued to coo and smile, unconsciously nuzzling the back of her head up softly against the woman's chest and using it as a cushy pillow, of sorts. As Cordelia rubbed the cuts and sores of her body, however, the girl resumed whining, this time in slight pain and discomfort, obviously.

Knowing washing these areas would hurt a little no matter what, Cordelia made sure to take the time to comfort her child after every rough area was scrubbed. She made sure to lovingly tell her how good she was being, and that everything was going to be okay. "Mama's right here baby..." The woman constantly assured whenever Severa looked uncomfortable.

By now, the crimson-haired shepherd had completely gotten over her embarrassment of this scenario, actually finding this to be great bonding time for the two of them; even if Severa would never know it. Having her normally distant and cold daughter snuggled up affectionately to her like this made Cordelia's heart flutter. Is this what Sumia feels like when she takes care of Lucina?

Soon finishing washing her off, it was time to move onto the limp teen's hair. Hopefully this would be much less painful for her. "Almost done dear..." She assured, kissing her on the top of the head one last time before slowly wetting Severa's hair down.

The girl, at this point, was in between smiling and frowning, cooing in unconscious pleasure and whining in irritation. It shifted back and forth periodically, culminating with Severa managing to let out one slow, fragmented word:
"Ma... ma..."

Previously reaching for the shampoo sitting nearby, the woman actually had to pause for a moment as the impact of what Severa had just dreamily murmured sat with her. Smiling from ear to ear, she gave her daughter an affectionate snuggle. "That's right honey, Mama!" She cooed back cheerfully, as if she were congratulating a baby speaking it's first words. "Mama is right here with you...Mama loves you..." Cordelia continued, squirting some of the shampoo into her palms and starting to gently massage it into her scalp. It seemed cooing and talking to her like she was a small child was showing signs of progress from Severa. So, she kept it going, loving on her as white foam began to cover the girl's crimson hair. "Mama's always going to be here to take care of you whenever you need me to...I promise..."

Severa was continuously receptive of the woman's treatment, continuing to murmur the word "Mama" in her unconscious state and smile as she was treated with love and care by her mother. This would be even more touching if the girl was actually awake, but for now, this would suffice. At the very least, it showed that there were certainly deeply-rooted, loving feelings for the woman that Severa might not have been able to admit through her bratty facade.

Feeling elated from this adorable behavior from her daughter, the conscious one in the bathtub kept up the same motherly love as she washed Severa's hair. Gently spreading around the puffy foam all the way around, Cordelia hummed a nice relaxing little tune for her. Before long, she was placing her hand over the girl's mouth so none of the soapy water got in as she was rinsing it off. After that, the teenager was nice and clean.

"There we go...all done." She cooed to her wet child, giving her another cuddle and kiss before she drained the water. The naked woman actually had to contemplate getting up. Was it weird that she was loving this moment? Part of her just wanted to shut the entire world out and just snuggle her baby until she woke up again...

But this wasn't realistic, and Cordelia knew it. So, with a sigh, she slowly got to her feet, Severa now cradled in her arms. "Alright honey, time to get dried off now, okay?" She cooed to the unresponsive child. But, to Severa's unconscious delight, they weren't done cuddling just yet.

Stepping out of the tub, the pegasus knight started off by laying a towel down over the toilet seat, so her bare bottom wouldn't touch the cold porcelain. From there, she grabbed another towel before sitting down on the covered toilet, positioning Severa like she had been in the bathtub up against her before wrapping the big, fluffy towel around both of them like a blanket.

The girl kept on cooing and letting out adorable, quiet noises under her breath as the woman picked her up and placed her on her lap. This time, however, the girl was now positioned face to face with the woman... or rather, face to breast. The girl kept her head rested on the woman's chest, that smile not going away whatsoever as this was an apparently comfortable position for her. To Cordelia, however, this could perhaps reignite the awkward flame that started upon undressing the girl and then herself; Severa's mouth was awfully close to one of her mother's nipples...

Giggling softly as she heard the adorable, content sounds from Severa again, the woman kept her nice and cozy in her lap, using the large towel around the two to keep them warm, as well as dry them both off as she did so.
However, it was starting to look like the unconscious girl's lips were getting a little too close to her right nipple... Close enough to get Cordelia's cheeks to match the color of her hair. Biting her lower lip, the blushing lady was oddly...conflicted. She knew that she shouldn't even be considering what she was thinking of...but come on, what could be the harm in letting her move her lips on and seeing if Severa would suckle? Maybe then she could know what Sumia felt like...Why was this so tempting?

Snapping her eyes shut and shaking her head, the knight mentally cursed herself. What was she thinking? Still a little pink in the face, she gently guided the girl's head to more of the center of her bosom to rest her head. Despite her momentary embarassment, Cordelia returned her focus to loving on the teenager, ruffling her hair a little with the towel to dry her off. "Heh, maybe you need a pacifier cutie?..." She cooed with a smile, trying to laugh off the previous, odd thought that had crossed her mind.
