The girl squealed with delight as the blanket was removed and her Mommy's funny face was revealed. Once she covered herself with the blanket, however, the girl quieted down and waited for another extremely silly face.

As predicted, her dream-parent held the blanket over her face for a moment, blocking it. Then, she quickly pulled it down, making another silly face. "Peekaboo!" She cooed, kissing Severa all over. Once she has given her daughter a chance to calm down again, Cordelia once again lifted the baby blanket to cover her own face. "Where's Mommy?"

Once again, the girl squealed at the silly face and noise her mother made, giggling for a few moments before calming down and being greeted with the woman again covering her face. As her mother asked, the girl snickered and waited, expecting another extremely funny face from the woman.

This dream version of Cordelia held the blankie in front her face, hiding it completely as her daughter waited in anticipation. After a moment she quickly jerked the blanket down to reveal...

Nothing.

The woman had practically vanished in the blink of an eye behind the blanket. Severa was now suddenly sitting on the floor on her diapered rear, all alone.

The girl watched as she was greeted with no one in front of her, plopping on the ground with a crinkly thud. She was at first intrigued by the sudden vanishing, but something felt very wrong. The woman just disappeared in the blink of an eye, and looking around and listening, there wasn't a trace of her here...

"M-mommy?" She started to lightly whimper, now beginning to crawl around the nursery and check to see if she were hiding anywhere.

Unfortunitely for the poor little thing, Cordelia was nowhere to be found. She had simply vanished, no sign of her anywhere.
With her disappearance, it was almost as if the warmth of the bright and happy nursery had been sucked away; a chill now running through the room. It was almost as if it was slowly getting darker in the room as well...

As the girl looked more and more around the room, she started to notice the coldness taking over the room. It eventually got to the point where she could see her breath from the cold air catching it. She crawled to the middle of the room, shivering and covering herself up as tears welled up in her eyes. She was now alone, no trace of her mother. And then the room started to darken, prompting the girl to start calling out to her mother:

"Mommy... Mommy! Mommmmmy!" The poor girl cried, only to receive no response as the room grew darker and darker. The pain of cold, bitter loneliness settling in, the girl collapsed to her back and started bawling, the light of the room being eliminated as she was in total darkness.

"MOMMMMMYYY!"

Those last echoing words woke Severa up from her dream, prompting her to gasp and jerk with one motion before being greeted by the ceiling of her bedroom. She had to think for several moments about what had just transpired. That was actually a very pleasant dream, only to be broken by a horrible twist at the end... but why?
The girl rubbed her head with her free hand while groaning, only to figure out that her arm was wrapped around something fuzzy. Narrowing her eyes, she lifted the object out of her arm and into the moonlight poking between her blinds. It looked to be a stuffed animal; a pegasus, to be more precise.
Severa knew immediately that this was Cordelia's doing, knowing she couldn't pass up the opportunity to make her feel weak and depending. Bitter, she took Peggy and spiked her across the room, hitting the wall softly. With that, she laid back down in bed, the throw making her weakened arm sore. And the more she thought about what had just happened, the more confused she became and the more her real emotions came into play. There was no one here to force her to hold back. She was alone in her room, and she felt horrible now. So she turned her head back to her pillow the moment she felt tears forming in her eyes, crying and snotting into the pillow for at least 10 minutes before finally falling asleep again.

Cordelia herself was asleep at this point, her daughter's sobs too muffled by her pillows for her to hear them from her bedroom. Needless to say that the woman slept much better than her child, still somewhat giddy from the night's events. She awoke from a pleasant dream around 9 in the morning, smiling as she stretched. Rubbing the the sleep out of her eyes, the knight got her bathrobe back on and decided that the first order of business was checking on Severa.

Not wanting to wake her in case she was still out, Cordelia quietly made her way to Severa's room, slowly opening the door and peeking inside.

The woman was greeted with another foul stench upon entering the girl's room in the morning, an obvious sign of a dirty diaper waiting to be changed. As well, the girl was still facing her pillow, the blankets covering the bottom half of her head.

By now, Cordelia would have been more surprised if she didn't have a diaper to change in the morning. Tiptoeing in, she noticed that Peggy was now on the other side of the room; far further than any distance she could travel from just falling out of the bed. This made it clear that the stuffed animal had been thrown. Now, even though she was an adult, the plushie still meant a lot to to the motherly woman, and it honestly did hurt a little to think of her childhood companion being treated so poorly.

"It's okay Peggy, I'm sure she just has to warm up to you..." She quietly assured the toy in question, picking her up off the floor and brushing her off. This was Severa she was thinking about; she honestly didn't know what she had expected.

Returning to the stinky teen's bedside, Cordelia sat down on the side of the bed, setting Peggy down next to her, and began to gingerly stroke her daughter's hair. "Severa, sweetie, it's time to get up..." She cooed warmly, wondering why the girl had shifted to such an odd position in her sleep.
