The girl, after being kissed and being told goodnight, actually cooed in response while suckling on the bottle before the woman stood and headed off to bed. From that point on, the girl did not have any more nightmares, though the reason why was unbelievably ironic...

At about 8 AM, the sun started to peak through the cracks in the window blinds. A few moans escaped the girl's lips... which were still on the baby bottle. After slowly opening her eyes up, the girl came to the realization of what it was in her mouth, having her go from groggy to awake and alert, actually screaming and grabbing the thing before tossing it at the other side of the room. This, however, exerted a lot of pressure on her battered body, causing her to collapse back into bed and stop moving as she groaned and mumbled to herself. Now she was mad...

Cordelia was actually still sound asleep when Severa awoke. Her scream or surprise, however, was enough to get the knight to practically jump out of bed, throwing on her bathrobe quickly and hurrying down to the hallway towards her daughter's room.
"Severa? Are you okay?" She asked, concerned as she entered. But as the woman looked at the annoyed expression on Severa's face, along with the baby bottle on the other side of the room, her still somewhat groggy mind remembered the events of the night before.

"No, I'm not okay! Why was that thing in my bed?!" Severa chimed, her tone very upset as she could muster enough strength to sit upright and stare her mother straight in the eyes as she screamed.

The still somewhat groggy woman sighed and rubbed her eyes. She should have seen this coming. "Severa, you were clearly thirsty last night when you woke up. I knew you would never admit to it, so I just prepared you something to drink while you were asleep. It's that simple dear." Cordelia stated, walking over to the other end of the room and picking the baby bottle up off the floor. "I know you don't like drinking from bottles, but your body needs liquids night now while you recover. It's important that you're properly hydrated, and you get enough calcium and vitamins."

"I told you, I wasn't thirsty! How difficult is it for you to take a hint?" Severa snapped back, her tone a bit biting and very agitated. Though how could anyone blame her?

"And, like I said, you were clearly lying." Cordelia responded, definitely not liking Severa's attitude, but trying to keep her composure. "Tell me, what was my alternative Severa? Let you get more and more dehydrated? You your body needs to be a full functioning capacity now more than ever." She explained, folding her arms and trying to keep her voice at a calm tone. Was Severa really this insistent on this stubbornness that she was willing to put her already fragile health at risk for it? "Someone has to be looking out for you dear, even if you yourself aren't going to."

"I would if you would just let me! Alright, yeah, I'm hurt. Hope you're happy to hear that. But I'm not TOTALLY useless," Severa insisted, wanting to try and plead her own case.

"But what you don't seem to understand is that doing that would do you far more harm than good!" Cordelia countered, her voice growing more stern as she grew more frustrated with the bratty teen. Realizing she was raising her voice, she sighed to calm herself down before continuing. "Of course I don't enjoy seeing you so uncomfortable. I can't even begin to describe what I would do to stop all the pain that's plaguing you right now. I know you're a strong girl Severa, and I'm sure you'd be more than capable of taking care of yourself in any other situation. But right now, any unnecessary strain you put on your body is just going to end up slowing down the healing process. It might not be a speedy recovery, but you're slowing it down even more. Don't you want to be able to move around and hold things without going through jarring pain?" She tried to reason with Severa, hoping the stubborn child would actually see the big picture.

Severa listened as the woman's tone grew in intensity, a fever pitch before returning to a calm and somewhat collected state. To the woman's surprise, a bit of this was managing to sink into the girl's head. Either that or Severa was getting annoyed with the confrontations from her mother and being reminded of her current state of useless... "I guess..." Severa replied, her arms folded as she pouted and looked away from the woman.

Actually pleasantly surprised that the argument had come to a screeching halt, the you by woman smiled warmly and approached the bed again, sitting down on the edge of the mattress next to her future-daughter. "I know you can make it through this sweetie; you're one of the strongest people I know. It just may take a little time." She said warmly, gently laying a hand on Severa's shoulder. As she did this, she indiscriminately sniffed the air, checking to see if she smelled another dirty diaper.
"I know that you might not particularly like some of the things I've had to do over the last few days, but I didn't do them to humiliate or punish you; I did them because I love you dear, and not nothing matters more to me than you being happy and healthy."
