Severa was back watching the race, though now quietly in anticipation as she waited for the black horse to cross the finish line. And... it came in third.
"Shit!" She exclaimed under her breath as her mother approached and lifted her up, causing her to squeak cutely but then groan a little.
"Kind of... that black horse was totally going to win..." Severa replied, actually sounding a twinge invested and interested in something and not brushing her mother away from an opportunity for conversation.

"Well, I saw that it did look like a close race..." The pegasus knight replied; glad to see that Severa had been invested in the program and actually seemed to be acting normally, regardless of her diapered state. "But sometimes things just happen. 3rd isn't too bad, considering the competetion." she remarked, slowly setting her daughter down in her chair so that her soggy padding wouldn't squish too noticeably. It didn't seem like Severa knew her diaper was wet; and Cordelia figured it would be a much more peaceful breakfast if it stayed that way.

"By the way dear, are you feeling any better at all this morning? Are you still in as much pain, or has it gone down a little?" She asked, walking over to the fridge to get their drinks ready. "What sounds good to drink dear?"

"But only the best come in first..." Severa replied, her tone now a bit pouty (though she of course didn't intend on it being that way). After the diapered girl was placed in front of the giant stack of flapjacks, her eyes practically sparkled as she licked her lips. She absolutely loved pancakes! The smell, the complementing syrup, the soft, chewiness of each bite... it was simply heavenly for her.

The girl, however, snapped her head back up to her mother as she was addressed once more. "Oh... um... I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday..." Severa replied, being honest but also trying to exaggerate her condition so she could be more self-sufficient without having to rely as much on her mother. "And... I... guess some milk wouldn't hurt..." She blushed at this, now beginning to recount the times that she had to drink milk from a baby bottle. Hopefully she'd at least be given the opportunity to drink from an actual glass this time...

"While that may be true, everyone else can use the lessons they learned to improve themselves to do better next time. No one is inheritantly better than anyone else." Cordelia said simply, pouring a glass of milk for herself. She was about to reach for a baby bottle for Severa, but thought about it for a moment. Part of her sincerely doubted that, given her condition, the teen would be able to properly drink from a glass any time soon with how weak her arms were. But maybe she did reciever well overnight...She might as well give Severa a chance.

"...Tell me honestly honey, do you think you'd be able to manage a cup?" The woman asked turning to her crippled child.

"I guess..." Severa replied. Part of this state of mind (if not all of it) came from the inferiority complex she felt in comparison to her mother, which she would never verbalize and would try her hardest to repress in the deepest recesses of her mind.

"Yes I can!" Severa replied, actually smiling at the thought of having the ability to be able to drink from a glass on her own. It was almost as if she were a little child graduating from bottles to sippy cups to full-on adult cups and glasses...

Not being able to resist a smile at Severa's almost childlike enthusiasm, Cordelia nodded. "Alright sweetie; but remember, if you make a mess, or it's clear you're in pain or suffering, I'm moving you back down to bottles for the time being, okay?" She answered, moving to get a (plastic) cup for the teen and filling it up with milk beside her own glass. Once the drinks were prepared, she carried them over and set both down. "Very good. Alright; breakfast is ready." She annouced, sitting down. Oddly enough, it seemed that Severa didn't have any silverware in front of her; a sign that Cordelia wasn't intending on letting the teen try and feed herself this morning.

Severa was happy that she'd get the opportunity to drink, replying to her mother with a simple "okay". However, it was when she prepared to take a first bite when she realized no knife and fork in front of her. "Um... where's the silverware?"

[Diapee Girl]

The girl's mother responded to that query by setting one of the syrup-covered pancakes on her plate and cutting it up, stabbing a piece with a fork and moving it over to Severa's mouth. "Even if you're right and your arms have healed a little bit, I don't want you to have to feed yourself just yet, especially with such a messy meal." She explained simply. "Now, can you open up for me dear? The pancakes are going to get cold if we keep sitting around..."

"Mooooom!" Severa whined. "I thought I was gonna be able to do this today! I said I'm feeling better, didn't I?"

[Diapee Girl]

Cordelia sighed. "I'm sure you are doing a little better than yesterday, but I just don't think you're quite ready to start feeding yourself yet. Holding a cup is one thing; but eating requires more fine motor control than I think you have right now; not to mention you'd likely get syrup all over you." She explained, hoping she wouldn't have too big of an argument with the girl about this.
