The Grand Forum (Open RP)
((Ave, you are a senator in the ancient Roman forum. Bring up any questions or ideas that are open to deliberation by your fellow senators...That's right...Forum roleplaying...The Forum...Let's begin!))
Two decorated guardsmen, the Praetorians enter into the crowded building, and address those gathered there.
"All hail the venerable Caesar!"
The crowd stood to their feet, raising their arms in unison to greet the emperor Augustus Caesar, clad in his fancy robes of gilded purple, the golden crown donning his head.
"Hail Caesar!"
The ruler made his way through the isle, walking up a small flight of wooden stairs to a throne where he oversaw the forum of the influential senators, taking their seats after him and falling silent for his address.
"My noble senators, welcome again to the forum. Here you are free to speak your mind, and by doing so, you do your duty to this great empire. But enough, it is time to change the world for the better; who has something burning in their mind? Perhaps we ought to conquer a new land, make new monuments and the like, or perhaps talk about...Taxes!"
He laughed, sitting back in the chair with a bright smile, being met with a few genuine laughs, mostly fake. After calming down, Caesar beckoned to the Senate.
"Come now, are there really no problems here?"
