During the era of colonial rule, some cultures had been treated worse than others. For example, the natives of the Indian subcontinent had more or less been relegated to second-class citizens in their own homeland, courtesy of the British occupiers. But not all who originated in that area were subject to the laws of the Crown.

Operating, as they had elsewhere, were the Brotherhood of Assassins, beholding to none but each other and their Creed. And within India, there was certainly much to be done.

The Indian branch of the Brotherhood had sworn not to interfere with the British government's rule, though there were some who were determined to make a positive difference for their countrymen. Namely an idealistic young woman from Kashmir.

Parminta was everything that one would look for in an Assassin: crafty, cunning, methodical, and with finely attuned senses. And she wanted to slowly encourage the people to shake off the English, planting seeds everywhere she could.

Right now, she squatted atop the grand spire of the Qutub Minar in Delhi, overlooking the vast crowds around her.

As always, she was staring out, looking for signs of Templar activity. And there was one particular anomaly that stood out.

She saw a shop vendor invite a nobleman inside his shop, though the shop seemed much too shoddy for the upper class to frequent.

After making the standard leap of faith, she proceeded to make her way to surveil on the shop.

She swiftly ran across the various rooftops. As always, everybody was too occupied with their own affairs to look up.

From a distance, Parminta overheard a reference to a quarry.
