Deep inside dark woods, there was an old holiday, forgotten by everyone. Nobody knew about this place. It was abandoned yet everything was in a good state. All buildings were pretty clean, though the nature reclaimed some spots as there were trees in various places. Odd thing was that there was a lot of snow and yet it wasn't too cold. It was very nice, chill temperature. One could walk without jacket and not be cold at all

It's currently summer, in the rest of the forest. Bees are buzzng , bird are chirping, fruits are growing.. And Leo, was currently on a vacation, as he was on an hunting trip through the forest. he has his backpack, his rifle and appropriate clothes to walk for hours.

He is a grey wolf around 25, with a darker grey fur on his back and a lighter grey on his belly. He stop on his track as he smell something weird.. the smell of snow.

"what could this be ? it's not the season at all..."

There was an old wooden sign with 'Welcome to the Hollyville. Town of perpetual holiday'. The snow covering it was fluffy and not cold to touch. As if it was fake snow

Leo rise an eyebrow. There was no road leading to that place.. and he grabbed an handfull of snow. it was indeed not cold at all but it was also reacting exactly as regular snow, as he made a snow ball and throw it at the pannel.

He does not take long for him to step into the village.
It was designed as tourist village usually are. Behind teh welcome board, there is a Main house that in time served as reception, administration and that had teh back of it fulled with what the village need.

laundry, stocking room, vehicules.. As he continue further down the main alley, he arrives at a plazza, decorated with some snowy fir trees and ... vintage street lampes.

He notices than dispite being in supper clothes, he don't feel any cold. "what is that place?", he asks out loud.

It certainly was an odd place. It looked frozen in town, as if people left it just a few days ago. There was a lot of snow and yet it wasn’t cold. And there was even a daycare with big chhristmas inside, decorated and with gifts underneath, juat waiting to be opened.

Leo get curious about teh gift he see through the large window of teh daycare. there is some in what seem to be the entrance.. are they decorative ? or something to keep the child busy as they wait ?

He tries teh entrance door and it is unlocked. then again the light of some decorationa re on so it is probably logical?
He walk in and look at the reception desk. The doorbell ringed but there is not a soul.. only a passage to go further inside and some gift near childish seat.

He grabs one. it is surprisingly heavy.

This daycare emanated some kind of odd energy. It felt very pleasant and nostalgic. As if reminding Leo old times when he didn't have to worry about anything and let his parents take care about his needs. The gift felt warm and was also vibrating with the same energy.
(So it's a bit like level 18 of the backrooms)

Feeling a bit mischevious, he glance to teh left, then to teh right and then behind him and seeing nobody, he allow himself a little guilty pleasure. opening the package, even if he is not a kid, even if it's far from christmas and even if it's probably just a decorative one.

he starts opening the package, carefull at the start but soon just ripping it open.

The gift was pretty surprising. Because it was actually a toy car that he always wanted to get from his parents when he was young child. Extackly the same he has seen in the mall. Unfortunetly, he has never got it because it was very expensive so his family couldn't afford it

He blinks and look at the toy closer. it's a bit smaller than in his memory but he clearly remember having tryed real hard to convince his parent to buy him the doll in the day.
teh doll was around 30 cm tall and of an elf girl, made of plastic wearing a pink dress her size and having a hat with some feather and as an acccessory, she had a bag.
In the cartoon she was part of, teh bag was magical an had more items than reasonnable.
he may still been a fan of that show today. Of course it was a show for kid and once he got his own money he never cared to complete his collection.

So it was.. nice to have the missing articulated doll, enven 20 years late..
He glances left and right then open one of teh pocket of his hunting jacket and get it inside, getting the paper in a trash been.
