(It is. The plot is basically that Madame Giry and Meg hid the Phantom in Coney Island after the events of the original, and he now runs a freak show spectacle called Phantasma. Christine is brought there for an engagement to sing, unknowingly staged by the Phantom, who has gone from the bittersweet admission that he can't have her to being so despondent that he can't create anything unless it's for her. Also, Christine went to have a one-night stand with him before marrying Raoul, and was going to leave him, but the Phantom left her before she woke, Gustave is revealed to his son, not Raoul's, and Madame Giry is suddenly turned into a raging bitch who hates Christine with venom, saying that she "abandoned" the Phantom)

(I agree with that, very much. Would you say that the fan debates over "Christine is meant to be with the Phantom" vs. "she never was in love with him", that both sides are guilty of intellectual dishonesty? In my opinion, she genuinely loves both, and if it was possible, she'd want both)

(I think both sides have merit, and both sides have flaws. If we do an RP based on Phantom, we could have it so that both men have overcome their differences and Christine can be with both of them.)
