Infamous: Innocent Touch (Private RP)

"Oh no, I understand completely. Just try to eat as much as you comfortably can." Craig said, being super-polite to the girl. She was obviously a lot nicer than a lot of the other Conduits (but that's mostly because him not being killed in seconds by her automatically makes her better than most others).

After finishing his meal and noticing the girl done with hers, Craig put the plates and silverware into the sink and quickly washed them out before putting them into the dishwasher. Going back to the dining room, Craig returned to his seat. "You getting tired? It is sort of getting late..."

Emma didn't look at Craig as he talked to her, but responded nonetheless. "I'm fine for now. I'll go to sleep when I want to. If you're going to be now, then goodnight."

[thelonegrunt]

Craig, figuring that Emma was tired, admittedly felt a little awkward from this, blushing and anxiously chuckling. "I'm... not really tired myself... just wondering if you were. Uh... anything you wanna do? Like watch some TV or play some video games or something?"

[Sami-Chan]

Emma shook her head. She then stood up from her seat and slowly made her way over to the window. Leaning forward, she propped her arms on the windowsill and stared outside, watching as the activity of the city was beginning to die down as night drew nearer. Her sad expression soon returned to Emma, now beginning to lightly frown. "I can't be the only one, right? Someone who wants to make a difference, but just...can't? I don't like running, and I'm sure other innocent Conduits hate it too. This isn't going to go away unless someone does something. Just the two of us, two people who are practically defenseless against the government, don't have a chance to stand up against them. Maybe...other people want to take action too, but just need others to help..."

Craig remained at the table, watching the girl stand and prop up in front of the nearby window. He could understand why she felt like she did; she felt that running was the only choice because the power of the government was just too strong to thwart on her own. The government hunted down individuals like exterminators weeded out household pests, all while labeling them as freaks and terrorists while protected to do their own heinous deeds.

"I know you're not the only one. I'm sure there's plenty of them out there who think the same way you do, and maybe, just maybe, you and them and plenty of others can share that. But... eh, what do I know? I'm just Mr. Optimist," Craig shrugged with a small smile.

[Sami-Chan]

Emma looked over at Craig, giving him a sudden knowing smile. "Well, if you're going to continue being that, then...what's stopping us from finding them?"

[thelonegrunt]

"There ya go!" Craig replied, standing up and giving her an assuring pat on the back. "Well, I think currently night time is stopping us. We'll have time starting tomorrow to start. For now, we should just relax..."

[Sami-Chan]

"You can go ahead and do that if you want," Emma reassured Craig. "I'm fine. I actually want to be alone for a bit now. I need to think through what we're going to do tomorrow instead of blindly playing hero tomorrow."

[thelonegrunt]

"Alright, if you say so." Craig replied, standing up and stretching before starting to walk to his own room to retire. "Just let me know if you need anything at all. Feel free to sleep anywhere you like," he said with a smile, then going to his room and preparing for sleep himself.

Emma nods her head. Looking back outside, she thought more deeply about what she said; was there really more like her out there? If there was, it would be a very small group of people, and that would make for a difficult search. Emma was glad to finally make the decision to take action, but she hoped now was the right time.
