"Oh okay Lisa." she smiled as the woman shook her hand then moved her hair back into place. Maybe it was just Danielle missing her redheaded girlfriend, who had broken up with her at the utterance of Dani moving, but the girl was enticed by her and found her rather attractive. "I guess I'm staying with Auntie Amy for an indefinite amount of time so if she has an addiction to the place then I'll be in here a lot." she smiled towards the strawberry beauty. She watched Lisa get to work as she threw a couple of donuts into a box before staring towards her with curiosity. "Oh I'll take a chocolate old fashioned and a rainbow sprinkled... um please." she smiled, turning around to listen to her aunt. "Well I'm not sure if you burn all of it off." she grinned, giving her aunt's stomach a playful pat.

"Uh! You little bitch!" Amy squawked in mock offense as she slapped Dani's shoulder playfully. They laughed at it all for a bit before Amy took the box from Lisa, their eyes meeting for a moment, and she grabbed her wallet. The two had a slight squabble over the money, Lisa saying something about them being on the house and Amy insisting. It seemed like a familiar argument and was soon finished as Amy left the bills on the counter and led her niece out and to the car. They hit the road once more back to the house with the box between them and a donut in each of their hands, Amy refusing to wait until they arrived home to pilfer a treat. It wasn't long until they pulled into the gravel driveway and came face to face with Amy's beautiful little beach house.

"So you and Lisa seem like pretty good friends." she shrugged, leaning back against the car's seat as she chewed on her donut. "I mean you fight over money and all that so I guess that is normal between friends. D...do you think she's pretty?" Dani mumbled a bit as the car pulled up to give her the first glance of her aunt's house. "Wow you live here? It's so pretty and it's right on the beach!" she said, her eyes shining like a little girl in a toy store. "Y...you live right on the beach like this?! That is so cool! That means I live on the beach like this now! Haha screw mom I'm not living in hell I'm living in luxury!"

Amy quirked an eyebrow and her niece's question, wondering just where her new found curiousity came from and what it might mean. If it meant what she though it might then it would certainly explain some things, not to mention make the girl's stay interesting to say the least. Still, it could mean nothing. "Yeah, well, it's a perfect example of buying a fixer upper when the markets right and putting a load of work into it." Amy replied as she licked her fingers clean. "You really gotta give you're mom more credit. What'd ya think she was sending you to, a gulag? Now cmon, let's get you settled in." Amy led her niece inside the house and gave her the grand tour of the house, which consisted of a living room, an attached kitchen, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and an office.

"Well let's see. She gave up on my dad, told me that I had no right to have a girlfriend and then went and got herself a new boyfriend to compensate for her husband and my father. So yes I didn't exactly think that the woman who turned my girlfriends straight and betrayed me was sending me to live on the beach." she pouted as her aunt led her inside, making sure that Dani was comfortable with every part of the room. They arrived at her room last as she looked around. "Wow this isn't horrible. I could do without the nursery pink walls but other than that it doesn't seem like I will be staying in the gulag after all." she smiled, setting down her two suitcases off to the side. "So um what do you wanna do?" Danielle was quite aware of what she had in one of her suitcases and would not be letting her aunt find her package of diapers that was buried down there.

Girlfriend, eh? Well that answers that. Amy helped Dani into the room but stayed in the doorway in order to show the girl that she respected her new boundaries. "Ya, well, I'm never in this room so I figured I'd just leave them as they were. You'll get used to them I guess, and if you're around long enough and it's still an issue we can always paint it." she said, looking over the room. Leaving the room she went to the kitchen to poor herself and Dani a glass of water each before returning, handing it to the girl, and drank as she thought of how to word her next statement. "Yes, that does sound like my sister. She always took our parent's visits to the church a little too seriously. I still remember when she came to visit me at college...none too fondly."

Dani gave a little snort. "Oh and how did that go? I'm sure it had something to do with you were being immature and acting like a little kid. I'm sure that she said you shouldn't be drinking or tagging walls or getting arrested." she huffed, letting out her own problems with her mother. "Really, how do you live with captain kill joy as a sister." she huffed, taking a sip of water as she sat down on the bed. "I mean I can't even wear clothes without her having a problem with them. It's not like I can't be a bit of a tomboy if I want." she was clearly annoyed with her mother, having worked herself into a fit about just what her mother had said and done throughout the passage of time with her.

"She wasn't always so bad. The business with your father didn't help her attitude, but I fear it was that night back at RIU that makes your...inclinations so personal for her." Amy sighed defeatedly, drinking and thinking on that night. "We were both rebellious, I admittedly more but hey, but your mother abandoned it as soon as she met your dad. I didn't. When she heard she went to visit me, without warning, and came in on me experimenting. The fight we had that night...we didn't speak again until you were born." Łooking at Dani's face to see her reaction she said "I tell you this so you realize that, given time and distance, all relationships can be mended."

"S..so you mean that you are for our own gender rather than the one who left me?" she asked rather quietly as she listened to her aunt recant her tale and sighed. "It's not like I really care or anything like that j..just would make sense why she has such problems with my choices. Why did you talk to her when I was born?" she asked curiously looking up towards her aunt in confusion. Dani gave a little sigh. "What if I don't want to mend my relationship with her?" she mumbled quietly. "I..I don't really want to talk about this right now. We fought before she put me on the bus and I don't want to think about her."

"That's alright, I understand completely. I just want you to realize that that maybe her sending you to me was a more purposeful than you might have thought." Amy explained gently, seeing the hurt in the girl's eyes. "I'm gonna go finish up some things in my office for a bit. Later, when you're up for it, we can go take a walk on the beach. Ok?" she continued with a reassuring smile before she left the girl alone.
