(The title is cheesy, don't know if you caught the joke, but i thought it was funny)

Mako flew the ship towards the next planet as he was with his saiyan friend jaken. They were flying through space from planet to planet tracking down the black star dragon balls to return them to earth. He wore his usual black shirt and jeans, though most thought that would limit his fighting ability, but it never did. He hoped that this time around that jaken would sit more quietly instead of complaining about the long and boring trip that they had to continue on until they retrieved all of the balls.

Mako had watched the boy ever since they were on planet vegeta, mako being a young warrior, and jaken being a child in training until his parents were killed by frieza, and mako's family as well. He found jaken on earth along with him and knowing what they knew they partnered up to watch each others' backs but it was mostly mako watching out for jaken. He couldn't go on through the world by himself.

They were now closing on the next ball and the upcoming planet.

Jaken begins to fidget uncomfortably in his chair....the long spaceship rides are boring for a small boy, and there's nothing to do...Well, of course there's talking to Mako...which was really fun. Jaken thought Mako was practically the coolest Saiyan out there....and he was so strong! And ever since Jaken lost his family, he had began to look to Mako as best friend, older brother, and even sometimes father....he was all that Jaken had. But still....Mako wasn't a kid, and though he was fun it wasn't the same as having boys his own age on the ship to play with.

Jaken felt pretty proud to be able to fly in the ship with Mako, Mako saying they were watching each other's backs, making Jaken feel big and important. Of course, that mostly meant Jaken being taken care of by Mako...Jaken was only seven years old, and very immature even for that age, without the fierce will, nerves of steel, and fighting spirit of many young Saiyan children. Jaken stripped of his powers could even blend in around Earth children in his personality. Some Saiyan children were mini-warriors but there was no forgetting with Jaken you're dealing with a very little boy. But Jaken WAS strong, Mako knew. Personality-wise he may be no warrior but he definitely had immense fighting abilities...well, at least for a child. He just lacked the personality to properly use them to their full potential....Still he could come in handy when needed.

"Maako...." Jaken said finally being unable to hold the whining in anymore. "Are we almost theere? There's like...nothin' to do on the whole ship...no toys or games or anythin' "

"Jaken I did advise you to bring one of your toys along but you said you weren't ever going to be bored on the trip. Now we're arriving at the next planet anyway so please stop whining like a baby or i'll come back there and change your diaper" he teases as he flies the ship into the orbit of the planet that they were going to land on to search for the dragon balls as mako looked at the radar to make sure they were on the right track.

He knew jaken would probably get bored and fussy, but he was hoping that jaken could start to grow up a bit and be more relaxed while they flew from destination to destination.

Jaken blushes at Mako's baby comments, a little sensitive to these kinds of teasing since he had got that a lot before...

"Yeah....but....."

He goes quiet having no comeback, and so he sits still finally, at least for a bit. Jaken looks out the window of the ship, trying to catch a glimpse of their next planet. He hoped it'd be a really cool one. Searching for the dragon balls was pretty fun. Like a game! Buuuut...it was MORE fun when the planets were cool, or there were nice people there....and it was the least fun when the planets were all dark and gloomy and scary....not that Jaken would ever admit to being scared on those planets. He's a Saiyan after all (Though not as good at hiding fear as he thinks he is, hes actually pretty see-through.)

"Heeey Mako...what kinda planet are we gonna be on??"

"just take a look outside the ship" Mako says as they enter the atmosphere and in no time land on the surface of the planet. From the readings they can breathe on the planet, even though all saiyans were able to fly into space when trying to stop frieza from destroying planet vegeta, which made things even more confusing when goku couldn't just fly away from planet namek (lol).

The planet had an orange color to it, the proof of life was non existent, but the atmosphere had oxygen, and seemed to have temperature and humidity so all types of weather, water, and vegetation could be there on the planet. "Jaken let's get off the ship and find the balls"

Jaken is too short to see out the window - very small for his age - so he floats a little off the ground....the perks of being a Saiyan. There didn't seem to be much there....no people. Which could be good or bad. The planet did look a little boring. Jaken likes the ones with full towns and a bunch of interesting people and things. The empty ones were usually ok, at least when they were bright and full of plants and not creepy, dark and full of huge monsters.

"Yea...okay" Jaken says as he follows Mako to the door, already eager to get off the ship and get out into the open air. Like Mako, Jaken wears jeans and a T-shirt (though a blue one, rather than Mako's black), which he insisted on in an attempt to be like the older Saiyan.

Mako led the way out of the ship with the radar necklaced around his neck while following the directions that it gave with simple walking for the time being. He looked up and noticed some hills and even black peaks. "Seems like the ball is in that mountain area over there" he announces to jaken of course. "This might be one of those needle in the hay stack situations again jaken"

[Jakerz]

Jaken gives back a huge smile with all the confidence of a fun-loving kid.

"Yea well I bet I can find it! ^_^" Jaken says, just so thrilled to be off the ship and free to move around, and with new sights and stimuli to interest him. He comes off the ground, and flies in quick little circles for a few seconds, before taking to his feet again and walking by Mako's side.

About 10 minutes altogether passed as a path through the hills could be seen for miles on the dirt road in the middle of the grass surrounding it. "Seems strange that the ground would look like this with no one around....." mako comments when suddenly a large earthquake like shaking begins, but only in short segments. Looking left and right mako can't see anything yet but senses a weak power level coming closer and looking up he sees a giant girl, about 10, with flowing blonde hair down past her shoulders, wearing a pink shirt underneath denim overalls.

"jaken, watch out we don't know if she's friendly or not" he warns.

The girl, jane, walks over and sees the two of them. "dollies!" she squeals.

The little Saiyan is staring up at the girl gaping....she's huge! While Mako tells Jaken to watch out, Jaken is just frozen staring up, his mouth gaping. Though his Saiyan-instincts should be that this girl is much weaker than him, and not a threat, his small-boy-instincts that this girl is gigantic and muuuch bigger than him kick in instead, and he feels his tummy twist.....his whole body freezing up.

"I...I...I..."

He tries to stutter out something...anything to say to either Mako or this girl that thinks they're dolls apparently.....but nothing comes out of his mouth....A little fist rises up near his mouth....Jaken used to suck his thumb until he was six, and though he doesn't do it anymore, his thumb does seem to hover by his mouth when he gets nervous, though always in a fist, the thumb knuckle resting below his lower lip....a nervous habit that it didn't take Mako learn to find out was a clear indication that Jaken was feeling scared.
