"Cool!" Despite being teenagers (indeed, some of the high school students were adults), the prospect of seeing a T-rex feeding was always exciting.

Sure enough, at her announcement, several other tourists followed the group to watch the feeding. A scrolling announcement on one of the zoo's electronic message boards announced the feeding schedules.

The raptor did not notice the increased size of her group as she started making her way towards the t-rex enclosure, and by the time they would get there, assuming they met no delays, the meat would just be getting lowered into the container as the t-rex enclosure was one of the most heavily barricaded and viewers watched from behind a thick panel of one way glass

The T-rex enclosure was set inside a deep pit ringed by towers where the tourists could watch the action of the feeding. Inside the pit were several trees and rocks to mimic a Mesozoic environment. The air was also extremely humid and hot as was preferred by the dinosaurs. Of course, powerful electric fences (painful to the T-rex but lethal to the guests) ringed the top of the concrete walls and the towers. The viewing areas were isolated from the dinosaur with bulletproof glass.

The group had taken over one of the observation towers. The air grew silent as several workers scurried about in the pen, placing the fake carcass under some bushes and trees to stimulate natural behavior. As they left, the ground began to shake as the dinosaur entered.

Almost immediately loud cheers broke out to which the T. rex responded with an earsplitting roar.

"Holy shit! That is awesome!" a student exclaimed as she photographed the majestic dinosaur. Her ears still rang from the roar but it was worth it.

The raptor smiled as she joined the group inside the tower as the feeding was no longer what she came for but it was to see the faces of the guests as she always loved seeing the different expressions everyone gave as she smiled while she watched the t-Rex roar as the power of the roar shook the structure a bit but never toppled it

The T.rex soon began snuffling about for its meal. It soon found the meal and began tearing into the fake carcass.

Several of the students were recording or taking pictures of the feeding activity. Others were were reading the informational display and working on their assignments.

"Question," one of the students said. "How often is the rex fed?"

"The t-rex is fed normally twice a day, so it is not often that every group will get to see the mighty t-rex rip into its prey" said the raptor as she saw some blood land on the window of the tower

It was then the Rex approached one of the viewing towers and peered directly into the window. Luckily, the bulletproof glass as well as the armored tower with its electrified fence were enough to deter the Rex from touching or attacking the towers.

Several of the students backed away with fear in their eyes. Some of them took photos as they ducked behind benches and other items.

The raptor smiled as the tourists hid as she was quite used to this happening as she would actually give a calm wave to the big t-rex like she normally did when she would come up here as she has seen him many times and not once has she had a problem from him when bringing a group up here

The Rex snorted at the tower and left, the ground shaking as he went off to do his own thing. The tourists emerged from their hiding spots as the great dinosaur left.

One of the chaperones approached the tour raptor. "Excuse me, but have the scientists staid that they are ready for their tour or are they still busy?"

A young man who was not part of the group emerged from hiding place of under the bench. "Wait, we can see the labs and meet the scientists?"

"The scientists should be ready to see you now" she said to the chaperone and looked over at the other tourist "Sorry but the labs are off limits without strict permission which this school tour had been lucky enough to receive" she explained kindly to the other tourist
