Cassandra saw the girl slip and gasped. "Are you okay?" She asked before seeing the flower-printed diaper underneath her dress. This, coupled with the fact that she used the term "Mommy" made Cassandra believe that this girl wasn't exactly average. "Uh... do you know who your Mommy is?"

“Oh, I’m okay, I do this whenever Mommy isn’t home, it’s how I get to the top of the tower to see the pretty lights on my birthday! Oh but don’t tell Mommy that! She doesn’t like me doing anything dangerous. Something about me being in danger puts her in danger. Oh!” She said hearing Cassandra’s question. “I’ve been getting good at reading so I’ve been able to read her name! It’s Goatle!” Her skills at reading were good enough that she was able to get the meaning from most things, but struggled with words if they weren’t in a dictionary, and since she had never heard her Mommy say it out loud, that was what she thought it was. Though anyone who had heard her Mommy’s ACTUAL name could see the similarities and make the connection.

"Is there a reason you're dressed like... uh... a baby?" Cassandra asked hesitantly. She hoped this question wouldn't offend the girl, but her priorities shifted to the name of the girl's "Mommy". "You mean Gothel? Is that what you mean?" Cassandra asked. There were rumors of a kidnapping a long time ago, but the perpetrator had never been brought to justice. Cassandra also remembered that in a few days, the lanterns were being sent out to mourn the unexpected disappearance of the Princess of Corona. While these seemed like leaps in logic, but if her hunch was correct, she may have found the princess who had been missing for years. "Speaking of names, what's yours?"

“Well, I am one! It makes sense that I’m dressed like one! I’m kind of jealous of you though, you look like you’d be a baby, but by how you’re dressed you’re clearly MUCH older and you look sooo pretty!” Rapunzel, long having untied herself, spread her arms in the air to show how cool and pretty she thought Cassandra was. “Oh! That’s probably her name, sorry, she never really said it out loud.” She said as she looked downwards, thinking she had made a mistake. “Umm, my name is Rapunzel, what’s yours?” She said curiously, her sadness from before fading away at the thought of meeting someone new. Even more so at them being a new friend.

Cassandra wasn't sure if she should be offended by the comment about being older or complimented, but she knew that this only made things more complicated. She couldn't really tell this girl who has supposedly been conditioned her whole life to be seen as a baby that her "Mommy" actually kidnapped her. Cassandra's thoughts were interrupted by Rapunzel moving around, revealing that the "rope" was her hair jerking her around in her chair. "I-It's a pleasure to meet you, Rapunzel. I'm Cassandra."

“Nice to meet you too Cassy!” She said, automatically giving her a nickname despite not knowing her for very long. She then sheepishly realized her hair was still tying her up and released her from it. “Wow! Your outfit is so cool, like an adventurers! Wait, are you an adventurer! That would be so cool! I’ve always wanted to go on one!” She said jumping up and down in anticipation.

Cassandra let out a little squeak as she was freed from her hairy prison and didn't have time to comprehend Rapunzel admiring her little outfit. "Uh, y-yeah. I'm an adventurer." She said hesitantly before she got an idea. "Hey Rapunzel, how would you like to go see the lanterns in Corona?"

(How about she knows, but distance herself from her long ago?)

“Ooh that is so cool!” She said jumping around. She then froze at Cassandra’s question before looking at her with the widest eyes and grin, and squealing. “Oooooh, YES YES YES YES YES YES!!! Please take me there!” She said before gasping. “So I was right! I knew they weren’t just a star pattern! Mommy said they were just more stars but I KNOW stars! I chart them all the time and these only appear on my birthday! They’re so pretty! Please please please please PLEASE take me to see them! I’ll be a really good girl I promise!” She said excitedly before realizing something and looking sad. “Oh, but Mommy will never let me go, she’s super strict.” She looked downwards and started sniffling with tears in her eyes.

Thankfully, as much as it pained Cassandra to say it, she had a plan that involved lying to Rapunzel about her "Mommy", and Cassandra's relationship with her. "Well, I actually know your Mommy, and I'm sure after we get back, I can explain everything to her." Obviously, this was a lie, but she planned to gradually ease Rapunzel into learning the truth about Gothel on their journey.

“R-really?” She said looking up hopefully. “That’s great!” She said automatically believing her new friend despite the conversation that implied she didn’t know who she was. It went to show that even though she was fairly smart in stuff like paint and stars, she still had the common sense and emotional quotient of a baby. “I’ll go pack my diaper bag, and get food!” Ironically, she was still in the wet diaper from earlier, and didn’t know how to change herself. She had also never packed for anything before and would most definitely need help.
