She did as she said sitting up then said "What did you want to talk about ?" She said. Her voice was soft so it didnt hurt her head infact made her feel a little better. She took the pills and then cuddled close to her.

Margaret stroked Lily's hair. She sighed. This would probably upset the girl, but she didn't want to put it off. It was somthing important somthing that needed to be done for a number of reasons. And frankly she doubted there would ever be a non akward time to bring this up.

"Well, its about court cases." Margaret took a deep breath. "I've been talking to my attorney, and I think you should file a case against the manager of the coffee shop for wrongful dimissal and assualt and battery of his employee. His behavior was flat out atrocious, and it crossed into the realm of illegal, especially since he got you sent to the hospital. He should pay."

"Also, I want to file a police report about your parents." Margaret braced herself for the girls reaction.

Lily looked at her shoked. She then simply said. "No I don't want anything to do with any of them again whats done is done and if I bring it to court there is a very good chance they will win the only thing I ever saw them spend money of was lawers and I am not getting any where near them"She said firmly

Margaret shook her head. "Lily, you won't be bringing them to court, the police and the district Attorney will. And what's done isn''t done. An evil left unrectified isn't finished, it remains as a scar on the world." Her face got angry. "And it was an evil."

"What they did to you was inexcusable, they were supposed to take care of you, you were their daughter, but they betrayed that duty and treated you like dirt. And they killed your grandparents, that's murder Lily. people who do things like that shouldn't be allowed to walk around free. That's why we have laws, to protect people like you from people like them."

"I know its hard but you can't spend your life running away from them. It will be better for everyone, and better for you in the long run, to stand up and see that they get what's coming to them." Margaret's voice was filled with conviction. she wanted to see these people who had hurt her Lily punished.

Lily was hating this she felt vey stroing about this. "And what the fuck happens when they get out. They will find me and they could fine you. "She said her voice breaking slightly. "Do you have a fucking death wish."She said and left the room. She went into her own room. She kicked the wall in frustraion then lowered herself to the floor crying

"They won't get out, and I can...Lily come back here." Margaret shouted as the girl ran into the guest room. "Lily stop, Lily!" and then she was gone.

Margaret collapsed into the sofa. She sighed with frustration. It seemed so simple to her. And yet Lily refused to cooperate. She could understand the poor girl not wanting to confront them directly, but why would she feel afraid now. Didn't she trust Margaret to protect her?

Maybe that was the problem, Lily hadn't been in her life long enough for the girl to feel safe around her. She sighed, she had overlooked how great Lily's terror of her parents must have been from fearing her parents her whole life. She wondered what to do next. Would it be better to go and comfort Lily, or should she give the girl some space and let calm down? Deciding on the second route Margaret went back to the computer room and decided to get some more work done. Lily probably didn't want to hear from her yet, so she'd give the girl time.

It took her a good few hours but Lily clamed down. It was late and now all she wanted was to cuddeled up in bed with Margaret.

Verey slowly she walked into her office cluching her kitty . She climed into her lap and just buried her head into her and said. "Can we please just not talk about that tonight I I don't want to think about them"She whispered tieredly and cuddeled closer

"Alright Lily." Margaret tried to keep her voice even. She had allot of feeling running through her at that point, but they wouldn't help. "We don't have to talk about it if you don't want to."

She stroked the girls hair. "Tell you what, I'm planning on making dinner soon. Do you want to help? Do you like cooking?"

Lily snuggled closer and said "If I cook I may give you food posioning but if your willing to take that risk I will help." She said

"Don't worry. I have a big old wooden spoon. I'll watch you real close and if you make any mistakes I'll hit you on the head with it." Margaret joked.

"I was thinking about somthing Italian tonight, say spaghetti, or maybe lausgnua. Do you like either of those Lily?"
