Luke and Tamia's Second Chance

Tamia turned his head to face Luke, shrugging his shoulders. "Not bad. 3 meals day. Humiliatingly served, but still food. Could be worse. Not that bad," He said, shrugging his shoulders again. "Streets cold, house warm. Streets dangerous, house safe. Diapers annoying, necessary though. Being baby strange, comforting though." He said, shrugging his shoulders a third time. He wasn't sure how to properly explain it to Luke, but Tamia was in fact rather grateful for this. He had grown up outside in the cold weather, and had to fight for meals. Here they were given them, as well as being given structure, and caring. It was embarrassing, but he would do anything if it meant he didn't have to go live outside again. He didn't like that life, and that life had left him with a variety of scars, both physically and mentally. Here he could recover and enjoy a strange sense of peace.

Luke breathed a weary sigh "comfort" he repeated , the word sounding different , the same way a homesick person would describe home. He was rather emotional at the moment , all of it bubbling away just below his calm annoyed attitude . He was frustrated , angry , sad , shy embarrassed and a whole host of emotions. He had to admit , when he did let go and just let mommy hold him and rocked him just right he just let go for a bit and felt calm bliss , and he was sure she had noticed it , everything else was an endurance test. Luke's life wasn't as bad as Tamia's , but he did seem rather neglected in many aspects.

Daddy came back and put the plate down on the tray , lifting his head up "come on now. Be good" he said , finally getting him to lie back and more or less spoon fed him without him struggling , although he was just a little weak. He numbly chewed and swallowed , letting his law slack to open up again. The blond made a good attempt , maybe just over half of the plate before he just couldn't take any more. Daddy let him finish with a sippy cup of orange juice. He downed it and took another , his bloated body settling a little after the mega feast he had attempted. Daddy unstrapped Luke and put him over his shoulder , letting him sip his juice calmly as he was taken though to start their lessons. He put him down on the carpet where mommy was and went to get Tamia to start his lessons.

"How was breakfast Luke," Mommy asked with a smile, walking over and pulling him into a gentle hug. She enjoyed giving Luke hugs, hoping that soon he'd get more comfortable around her and actually let his guard down for once. She grinned and playfully poked his full tummy before saying, "Anyway, I have a few tasks for you today. Today will mostly be me just seeing how coordinated you are, and once I know that then we'll get to some more intense and interesting things. Now, I want you to go over to that desk," She pointed at a desk a few feet away, "Sit on the chair, and write me a letter, using that pencil." It was an ordinary pencil, and she hoped he'd be able to write with it.

Tamia glanced at him when he came in, lifting his arms up to be carried. He smiled at him playfully, trying to soothe him over. He knew that Daddy thought he was cute, so he hoped that by playing the part of innocent little Tamia, he could get Daddy to let his guard down and spoil him with treats.

Luke rolled himself up into a sitting position "hmm , and here I was thinking babies just laid about all day in diapers" he said as he leaned into the hug. It was much , but it was a big leap from fighting and shoving her away. He boy looked over "okay then mommy" he said , fixing his skirt a little , using some pretend modesty like someone in the room didn't know about his 'special' undies. "Just put me down and I'll go do it" he said his limbs slowly swaying in her arms.

Daddy gave him a bright smile and unclipped him "good boy , what does my little spy have to report for his lollipop?" he asked , not expecting much , but you never know. He hugged him as he brought him through "story time for you" he said taking him to the other end of the room "okay so alphabet today" he said sitting down with him in his lap and brought out a copy of 'babies abc' and opened it up "after this I want you to say the sounds as I say them. So" he said opening it up "A is for apple. So can you say A" he said , using the capital sounding sound "and then say the phonic sound , so aaaa , like in aaaaaapple" he cooed softly to him.

She smiled when she saw Luke try and fix his skirt, knowing that a task like that was impossible. The skirt had been curled to always try and flip and curl up, never giving his diapered bottom much privacy. But, it was very cute to see him try. Grinning, she sat him down on the ground, and watched as he went to walk over to the desk, wondering how well his handwriting would be.

"Comfort," Was all Tamia repeated back to him. "Wants comfort." Nodding his head, he wiggled around gently on his lap, the thick diapers feeling strange against it. Yawning, he looked down at the book, feeling rather humiliated right now having to repeat this. So, blushing, he said, "A, aaaaa." He rubbed the side of his head, his face bright red now. "This necessary," He asked uncertain, looking at him with confusion.

Daddy looked over at Mommy , wondering if Luke would do okay at her obstcals she set for him. He saw his baby turn red as a tomato "aww , someone's all blushy. Yes , it is , you said it was easy , so you should have no problem" he replied , getting him to say the individual words out. This carried on until about the letter R "okay , can you think of some other words for running that mean the same thing?" he asked , he was just probing for now , confirming if it really was just his grammar than was off or he just didn't know other words he could use to fill them in and make sense.

Luke waddled , the skirt flicking back up , but he didn't sort it this time. He stumbled a bit , taking a sip from his sippy cup he got to the chair and sat down and looked down at the paper "okay , what do you want me to write.

He blushed at all this even more, especially at having it pointed out. Biting his bottom lip, he instinctively went to suckle on his thumb, looking down at the book on his daddy's lap. Sighing, he began to say, "Jogging, Ran, walking, speed, axcell-er-at-er-ing," He mumbled the last one, not sure how to properly prounce it. Having this pointed out only made him blush hard, and he brought his thumb back up, suckling on it meekly.

She watched him move, being careful to stay near him to make sure he wouldn't fall. When he finally got to the desk, she said, "I would like you to write me a letter Luke. It can be about anything, a dream, your thoughts, anything. Just start writing and don't stop till I tell you to." This was also a test of not only his writing skills, but what was going on in his mind right now. She hoped that by just having him needlessly write his mind would just relax and she could see what he was really thinking.

"Oh well done Tamia. Good boy. Very good" he praised , he got something. He carried on until the book was done "good job , so you've got letters done. Now how about some more complicated words" he said motioning over to the book shelf. "Go pick out a book to read and we'll work on that. All the books were the same old childish ones , with simple words and short sentences. Although these ones had missing words , specifically the things relating to the story , the idea was he would take the hints from where the grammar was and the pictures.

Luke sighed and thought a bit. Picking up the pencil he wrote in very precise and very flowery cursive "feeling fine" he underscored it. In short it looked perfect , like a computer had did it. He paused and tried to think some something to write about. He started writing out about a story about a girl trapped. He described the emotions easily , although much of the situation could be applied to him now , and some could not. The same kind of emotions cropped up though , scared, alone , panicked. The writing itself was pretty bad , it had gone from picturesque to a disable spider covered in ink dragged itself across the page. It must had been enough to fool anyone who made him write for tests on handwriting

Nodding his head, he climbed off of daddy's lap, and went to the bookshelf, glancing at the titles uncertain. He wasn't sure what to pick out. Finally deciding, he reached for a red book, reading the title as "Little Red Riding hood." Smiling, he turned to bring it back to his daddy, turning around so that he could be picked up and placed back in the comfy lap.

She glanced at his paper, reading the title. Uncertain, she began to look at the rest of his text seeing that it was very sloppy, especially when compared to the title. Not saying anything, she read the test as best she could, smiling as she realized that the girl was Luke, and that he felt trapped. She and Daddy would have to talk while the two napped later and see what they could do to convince Luke that he wasn't trapped her.

Daddy smiled and helped him back up and opened the book "okay , you're just going to read this one and fill in the blanks as best you can. Using what you can see in the pictures okay. So we'll start of with 'little red riding hood____going___the woods' " he said letting him read it and try and figure out what went in the spaces. The picture was red riding hood exiting the house and entering the woods.

Luke sighed "anything else" he said , not thinking twice about what he had did , and wasn't offering any further comment on it either , maybe he just didn't know what he had put down. He folded his arms and looked over at Tamia , getting praised for his work. Sighing he looked back with a sullen face and waited his next task.
