Apple Seed never stopped staring down Blossom. "I don't know, son, but I think this mare was just leaving. This was all just a big misunderstanding, wasn't it?"

"Like hell it was," said Blossom. "I'm not leaving without those fillies." She finally noticed that the fillies weren't there anymore. "Where'd they go?" she cried. "What did you do with them?"

A terrible crash came from below as the guards, tired of waiting, kicked in the door.

Rarity was more scared than she thought. "S-Sweetie Belle? C-can we go now please?" She asked, wanting to go home.

"Yes. We're going to make sure you get home safe and that you stay safe. Nothing's going to hurt you, alright?" Sweetie Belle was sweating buckets and struggling to breathe, but she needed to make certain the fillies were okay. "Everything's going to be fine. We're going to get back to the boutique, get supplies, leave a note for Applejack's family letting them know we're okay, and then..." Sweetie hadn't thought that far ahead yet. "Then we'll think of something, alright?"

Applejack let Rarity lean into her. "Yer okay," she told her girlfriend as they walked.

Blossom was incensed. "They were just here!" she screamed. "Where did they go?"

Below them, the soldiers filtered into the house and split up. Blossom heard one of them climbing the stairs and barked and order. "There are two fillies in this house. Search until you find them. One of you, get in here and help me!"

Rarity nestled into Applejack as the cautiously walked back to the boutique. "I-I hope so Sweetie Belle. I hope they'll be alright. I don't want anything bad to happen to them because of us." Rarity said, trying not to cry. She had just started to get used to this world, and here everything was worse off than it had been when the day started.

One of the young sergeants ran into the room, barreling through the Apples to get to her commander. "Sergeant Staff reporting ma'am!" She said as she saluted, with the rest of her squad running through the house.

Applejack swallowed hard thinking about what Rarity had said. She didn't want her family to get hurt either. She just got them back, and she couldn't stand the thought of losing them again. But she had to be brave for her girlfriend. "Rarity, if something bad happens to them, it's not our fault. Do you understand me? We're not those soldiers. We're not this Shimmer pony, whoever she is. They're the ones responsible."

"Shimmer is the Queen of Equestria," said Sweetie Belle. "I thought you knew that?"

"Well she won't be long," decided Applejack. "Nobody messes with my family."

The trees got thicker around them. Applejack became worried as she realized they were heading into the Everfree Forest. "This is a bad idea, going this way," she told the others.

"Thank you, Sergent." Blossom was relieved to have the reinforcements. "Arrest these miscreants for assaulting an officer and obstruction of an investigation. Don't take your eyes off them; they're dangerous." She addressed Big Macintosh. "Now are you going to come willingly, or are we going to have to break your legs?"

Rarity was trying to stay strong, but it was hard. They wanted her and now her marefriend's family was going to pay the price. "But they want me! That means it's my fault!" She said, bawling now. She hated these filly hormones, making her even more easily upset. "I just want to go back to the real world, where I have my boutique and my friends and none of this stupid crap!"

Big Mac knew he had been beat, if only by sheer numbers of the ponies now surrounding him. "Ah know when ah've been beat. Just leave Applebloom and Granny alone. They both asleep right now and ain't done nothing."

"You're really not in a position to be making requests," Blossom told Big Macintosh. "So how about this? You be a nice little boy and we won't rough up your family too much. That's fair, right?" She turned to the other guards. "Shackle them. Search every room in the house for the fillies. We are not returning empty hooved."

"It's okay." Applejack stroked Rarity's mane. "Everything's going to be okay. It wasn't your fault. None of this was your fault. We'll get everything back to normal, you'll see."

They continued moving along the edge of the Everfree Forest until they were far enough away from the farm. They spotted a dirt path leading into the woods. "I think this is the road to get to Zecora's," said Applejack. "Hey, Rars. Do you want to visit Zecora, or do you just want to go home?"

Rarity nodded her head. Zecora was a friendly zebra so there should be a benefit in visiting her. "Y-yes... Maybe she knows what's going on here. If only we could sleep. THen maybe Twilight would know too." Rarity said, her tears starting to dry up.

The sergeant bound the elder three Apples and his squad carried them downstairs. THe other squad searched through to house, and didn't find anypony besides Applebloom, who was sound asleep and exhausted from having her virginity taken, and Granny Smith who whacked the other sergeant with her walker for waking her up. Surprisingly, he just licked his wounds after searching everywhere and walked out.

"They're not here," reported one of the soldiers. "We've searched the whole house."

"They have to be here!" screeched Blossom. "I saw them. If we return without those fillies, the Queen will have my head! And if that happens, I am taking each and every one of you motley lot with me. Search the house again! And if you don't find them, search outside. We are not going to rest until we find those fillies."

"Why do you even want them?" Apple Tart dared to ask. "What have they done?"

"Shut up!" screamed Blossom. "You idiots don't need to know anything. Shut up before I decide to jam my baton down your throats!"

"There's a friend who lives down here," Applejack explained to Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak. "I don't think the guards will follow us, so we should be okay." She trotted down the route as quickly as she could with Rarity leaning up against her. The adults followed, hesitantly.

Soon, they reached the clearing that housed Zecora's home. Applejack froze as soon as she got a good view of it. The tree that Zecora lived in had always been warped, misshapen, but it was still strong and sturdy, a healthy plant that had made the most of the space it was squeezed into.

Now, the bark was charred a dark black and looked brittle to the touch. No leaves were in its branches, and many of the branches lay dead on the ground. "Uh, oh," mumbled Applejack. She spotted some graffiti that someone had painted on the side of the tree:

Evil Enchantress! Stay away from our foals!

Better wiped than striped!

Zebra, go home!

"This ain't good."

Rarity couldn't contain her fears anymore. "N-no.... they...they couldn't have! Where's Zecora?! She's supposed to be here!" She exclaimed almost ready to cry again. "S-Sweetie Belle, does Shimmer not like zebras? SHe asked, that being the only logical explanation as to why Zecora had been run off.

"Shut up ya lousy farmers." A black unicorn walked into the room. He was Blossom's right hoof man. "We ain't gotta tell ya anything. Y'all being arrest for harboring illegal magic. Ya might be lucky ta get out of prison alive." He said, in a similar accent to the Apples, but not quite it.
