Currently Bulma Ceo of capsule Corp. was sitting at a table in the middle of her 32nd birthday party. at least that's the number that she'd tell anyone who demanded to know. As she was sitting down enjoying some cake her eyes kept wandering over to a table to her far right where a little girl was sitting the girl was the picture of an adorable tom boy. the girl didn't look like she could be more than 8 or 9 years old. It took bulma almost an hour to recognize the little girl as Mai the women who when she was a teenager had held her at gun point in order to try and steal the dragon balls she and goku had collected. How the former grown women could possibly be a child again she did not know but she'd seen far stranger things in her time. At first she thought maybe it was a relative of her former enemy but when she saw that dumb dog and blue freak she knew it was Mai and so the super genius was officially going to have some much needed payback for all the grief the woman or former woman had caused her. She even knew how to get started she wandered over to the little girls table and looked down at her like she was any other child. "Hi there sweetie how are you enjoying the party?" she asked sounding as sugar coated and sweet as she could.

Mai was in the middle of a heated discussion with Pilaf, the dragon balls were here, somewhere around Capsule Corp HQ, but they couldn't figure out where. "It says all seven right there!" She exclaimed looking at Shu who was scanning the party in search for the orange spheres. "Stupid thing should be more specific." She mumbled in her shrill voice as she took the dragon radar from the table. She held the small object in both of her petite hands and listened to its dull tone. "Well we better look inside..." She began as she looked back up from the device, to find her comrades had left her. She immediately stood up, her small frame barely taller than the table she was sitting at. She looked around, panicked she'd be left out of the wish process again, she had too many stolen from her at this point. She turned and jumped back, suddenly seeing that Bulma had made her way over to her. "Oh, it's uh, great!" She tried to seem sweet, but her history with Bulma had made her wary of her.

Bulma just giggled at the girl's clear shyness. "So cutie where are your parents?" she asked knowing full well the little girl wouldn't be able to answer that question it would be a great Segway for getting her to stay here for the time being. She then took a seat at the table across from the girl before pausing a moment noticing the girl had trouble reaching her arms over the top of the table she grabbed a booster seat (the kind they had at movie theaters so kids could see the screen) from a nearby rack stocked with them after all Bulma's parties were prepared for everything and placed it in the girls chair. "much better" she commented waiting for the little girl to answer her question.

"I uh..." Mai's heart began to race as she had to think of something quickly. She watched Bulma come back over and place something on her seat, and was confused for a moment as to what it was, but as Bulma sat back down, she saw what it was. "I could've done without this I think." She said as she climbed up onto the booster seat, now being at a quite comfortable level at the table. "My parents are...gone, they just dropped me off." She said as she looked away flippantly, as if it were a normal thing for a young girl such as herself to be left on her own. "Party is great though, yeah." she added, trying to seem normal.

Bulma raised her eyebrow at the girl conveying as much skepticism as she could. she couldn't help but think she should get an Oscar for her performance here. "Is that right?" she asked sounding clearly sarcastic and unbelieving "you see sweetie I'm a mother do you know what that means" she paused and mai shook her head "I can tell when children are lying to me" she said smugly clearly enjoying this far too much "Now those clothes you're wearing aren't exactly current you can tell me the truth sweetie I promise you won't get in trouble. So what are you an orphan foster care kid, or what?" she asked before internally patting herself on the back for her top notch performance she was officially dropping the inventor gig after this and going full time actor. even though she was sure her friends would all mock her for such an endeavor.

"What? No," Mai stuttered as she was called out on her lie. She needed to keep up the charade somehow, they were so close to getting all seven dragon balls all at once! "I mean, yes. I never knew my parents, I just kind of...find...places to live?" She said cringing at her own lie, not even being able to keep the sentence from sounding like a question. She shifted awkwardly in her booster seat. "I didn't mean to crash the party or anything, I just saw some kids her so I thought it would be okay." She was totally at Bulma's mercy now, but at least she would probably be able to stay at the party and get there wish, and hopefully her adult body back...maybe minus a few years.

Bulma just smiled sweetly at the little girl on the inside however she was performing a victory dance at her triumph "It's okay sweetie you can stay with us" she said in a very motherly tone she hadn't let on to the fact she'd hidden told someone to hide the dragon balls after she realized pealof and his lackeys were here she also had security escort the blue kid and his dog off the premises and toward juvenile hall. now back in the current moment "as you can see we have plenty of space.' she said sweetly she noticed the girl had gotten frosting on her face from a cupcake while she was panicking trying to come up with a lie. Bulma literally grabbed a napkin and started cleaning the little girls face.

"Oh, really?" Mai chirped, her eyes lighting up. This was a once in a lifetime shot. She was going to stay with the woman that basically houses the dragon balls at all times. The chance couldn't get any juicier. "That sounds great!" She agreed, the fact that Bulma was a multi millionaire didn't hurt the decision either, still she had to remind herself, it was just an inside lane to getting the dragon balls. Suddenly her face was assaulted by a napkin, and her feeble uncoordinated arms tried to bat away the much older womans hand, but before long, the icing on her face was gone anyway. "So..." She sat there awkwardly, not sure where the blue haired woman would take things next.

Bulma just smiled at the little girl before an idea struck her "anyway sweetie I bet you're thirsty one sec she went and grabbed a glass of regular punch with the little girl it was a little too full. not a problem for bulma of course but for the little girl well.. a spill was inevitable. "The people are leaving the party soon come in let's go see them off." she said leading the girl over to where several z fighters were getting ready to leave as they walked over mai was struggling not to spill the glass but spilled little droplets down her front but nothing major yet. "see you guys later" she called out as they left. she was planning so many things and pretended to not yet notice the girl's trouble with the glass.

Mai thanked Bulma for the drink, though she didn't really need it. She wasn't about to say no to a lady offering to take her in, from what she though was, off the streets. "Oh, right." She agreed as she hopped down from her booster seat. As they went to see everyone off she had a bit of a problem keeping all of her juice in the glass, she narrowly avoided getting some on her jacket as she walked. As she came to a stop, watching as the weird clown child and the triclops flew off, she lost a little bit of her grip on the glass and it slipped backwards towards her. The red liquid flipped from the cup as the lip, unfortunately caught the top of her jacket and spilled some of the drink inside of it, before the glass fell to the ground, shattered and splashed her pants and jacket with more punch. She looked up at Bulma immediately. "Oh, I'm sorry!"
