As he followed behind her, Jason tried to absorb the words, thinking of an actual way to respond without coming off as a complete jerk to her. "...I didn't quite catch that." Jason stated, not knowing that the girl was not intending on ending him, but was annoyed by his actions already and resenting having him drag behind him.

[Sami-Chan]

"Es ist mir egal." Gabi merely said, not caring if Jason understood her or not. That was good too, since it was what she intended. Even if she didn't speak a lick of English, she intended to achieve her goal, with or without anybody's help. She wasn't goog to let some kid she met randomly mess that up.

Even though Jason did not directly understand the meaning behind these spoken words, he knew that she did not care for him, as it seemed her goal was somewhere in an unmarked location that Jason had no knowledge of. Seeing as how the boy royally screwed up before, he at least wanted to make amends with the girl, as going along alone would prove hazardous to the both of them.

"Hey look, I'm sorry about that, I'm just not used to it is all." He openly said, now catching up to the girl and walking next to her side. "It's just... I'm finding it very odd why everyone left this place so quickly, and how you stumbled here so quickly and without warning..."

"Du kannst mich mal." Gabi grumbled to him, feeling satisfied that he hadn't a clue she was directly insulting him. She just wanted him to be quiet, not only because of him beig obnoxious, but because it would attract the wildlife and possibly other criminals who went mad and took the advantage that there were practically no laws anymore for the time being. Though Gabi wasn't aware of it, some of the animals have had their structure and behavior completely rearranged, while some hadn't been affected at all. This change was due to their molecular structures mutated as a side effect to the nuclear radiation from the war. There were water supplies that animals would drink from that had this radiation in it, and sometimes plants would absorb it, which then herbivores would eat those plants, which would be passed onto predators.

Surprisingly, when a town was vacated for a prolonged amount of time, the animals driven away originally would soon reappear and slowly take their grip upon the town. It seemed odd, however, that this had not happened just yet. Maybe it was only because the town was vacated only hours previously...

Had the boy known what the girl had mumbled, he would have acted differently, but he only continued to walk closer with her and acting slightly reserved. He really did not want the girl to bust a cap in his ass, so from now on, he would try to choose his words carefully.
