"Uh... I'll solve it eventually. Big Mac, you might want to save that skip for something harder." Spike said.

After a boring 30 minutes, Spike finished the puzzle and they are out of the cell. "Now, you need to get out without being caught." Discord then turned the puzzle book to another page. It is a simpler maze, but with an extra challenge. Discord points at some locations of the map while giving directions. "You two are here and the witch is here. You and the witch will take turns moving. The witch moves two spaces per turn and you only move one space. If the witch can see you (none of the maze walls between you and him), then he will go towards the space you are on. If the witch cannot see you, a roll of the die with determine which space the witch will move to. If you and the witch occupy the same space, then you are caught. Your goal is to get to the room where he keeps all of the gold. Are you ready?"

“Well, at least we can see the whole maze at once while the witch can’t.” Spike said. He is aware, though, that the witch’s ability to move 2 spaces instead of 1 could be a problem. “We cannot outrun the witch. Let’s try to make sure that he doesn’t see us at all. Let’s move here.” Spike said.

They kept moving. Soon, they noticed that the witch is right around the corner. “Ugh. He is blocking our way to the gold room.” Spike also noticed that there is no direction that they can go that guarantees that the witch will not see them within the next 2 turns. “Uh… let’s go to this space. If we are lucky, then we can turn that corner before he gets into this hallway.” Spike said.

“Now, please don’t come here, please don’t come here!” Spike pleaded. But unfortunately for them, the witch went to the end of the hallway that they are in. So now, they are in the witch’s line of sight. “Ugh. Okay, let’s turn this corner here and then go around this other corner here. We will be out of the witch’s sight by the time he gets to the space that we are currently on and if we are lucky, then he will go in the wrong direction.” Spike said.
