While Twilight always took any threat to her mentor and fellow princess very seriously, she was a little baffled, by Celestia’s word of warning. Namely, of all the methods of execution Chrysalis might use, why would she go with a vat of acid? Nevertheless, if it turned out to be true, she could not afford to turn a blind eye. At the same time, she felt as though she should not put all of her friends at risk. So she quickly began to come up with a plan.

“You know, throwing ponies into a vat of acid might not be a bad idea,” General Mandible said.

“Hmm… could be true. But I would rather keep them alive for longer so that I can have fun with them for longer. Maybe we can stage a video that looks like we are executing a pony with a vat of acid and release it to the public so that they fear us some more. Which pony should we capture for the video?” Chrysalis asked.

“Maybe the pink party maniac. She gets on my nerves,” General Mandible suggested.

“Mmm… I would rather the public knows that Twilight and her friends are being held and tormented in our prison.”

“Would one of her crazy sisters be a good alternative?”

“Oh, yes. That would be perfect.”

"The Pie farm would be very easy to take, Your Majesty," said Colonel Crawler, "They have no supplementary staff, and they are way out in the middle of nowhere. The youngest one, marble, is a mare of few words. Someone as laconic as she would not be missed."

"I agree," said Colonel Webbing, "Meanwhile, we must be careful with laying a trap for Princess Twilight. She may be the youngest of the princesses, but her intellect is known both within and beyond Equestria. And her friends continue to be a thorn in the side of any villain who seeks to conquer this land."

“Good points. Looks like I will need a backup plan to capture her. Let’s track her phone from the last call and then hunt her down,” she instructed.

The top changeling technicians went to work on that at once. It took them only a few minutes to triangulate Twilight’s last known position. “It would appear she is still in Ponyville. Likely in that castle of hers which sprouted out of the ground a couple years ago.”

“Excellent. Let’s storm that place,” Chrysalis said. A few hours later, Twilight’s castle was surrounded by an army of changelings who also brought some stones so that magic cannot be used. “Twilight! You are surrounded! There is no point in attempting an escape. Come out and give yourself up!” Chrysalis demanded.

Unfortunately for the changelings, Twilight and her friends had evacuated some time ago, anticipating that something like this might happen. However, they had not yet escaped from Ponyville. As such, they were not in the clear yet.

“What’s the plan, Twi?” Applejack asked as they observed the changeling incursion from the edge of the Everfree Forest. “Should we split up and hope that at least a few of us will get away in the confusion?”

“Okay, since you refused to cooperate, we will have to take you in by force. Get her!” Chrysalis ordered. A large group of changelings stormed the castle, searching everywhere for Twilight.

Twilight figured that they cannot overpower the changelings in groups anyway in the condition they are in now. “Okay, let’s split up. I will go to Appleloosa to find Celestia and Luna. The rest of you will see if you can find anything at the changeling hive,” Twilight suggested. She feels bad for putting her friends in danger but does not want to risk a slow and gruesome death for the former rulers of Equestria.

“Uh-uh,” Rainbow Dash countered, “No way are we letting you go off on your own, Twilight. I’m coming with you.”

“Me, too!” Pinkie Pie declared, as optimistic and energetic as ever, despite the dire situation.

Applejack scoffed. “Guess that’s settled. OK then. Fluttershy, Rarity, come with me. I know a hidden path through the Forest, which will lead out to Sweet Apple Acres. From there, we can work on evacuating my family and anyone else we can reach.”

(You did say you wanted Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie to be captured first, right?)

(Yes. I am fine with Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy roaming free and starting a resistance since I already had them diapered in a previous RP. But we can still capture at least one of them if you like.)

Twilight, Pinkie and Rainbow eventually got to the bar where Celestia and Luna are supposedly going to get executed. “I am highly suspicious that this is a trap,” Twilight said. “Be very cautious.”

Meanwhile, after over an out of searching, the changelings concluded that the castle was empty. “There is no one in the castle, Queen,” one of the changelings said.

“That rascal must have escaped. Find her at once! I don’t care if we have to burn down this entire town to find her.”
