"That's certainly an idea for punishment, Boruto. What about rules for how we should treat each other?" She prompted.

Kenji sat there silently, brow furrowed as he tried to think of any possible ideas for Miss Nanako's question. The rest of the class mostly followed suit, a couple of kids passing around ideas.

Miss Nanako smiled, giving praise for any good ideas and writing them up on the board. Lots of basic ideas, but with good intentions, none the less. 'Don't call people names', 'Don't hit people', 'No taking other peoples things', 'Let other people join in'. Miss Nanako was happy with the list. Getting the kids to think of the ideas themselves worked better than just telling them.

She started speaking with the class again. "Now we have one idea about what happens when people break the rules. Do we have any more suggestions?"

A couple of ideas were brought up. Staying in at lunch time, time outs, going to the principle. At this point Kenji raised his hand. "Getting sent to the pre school?" He suggested. He'd heard Miss Nanako mention it before. The majority of kids hated the idea of spending time in a classroom meant for even younger kids, and it was a pretty good deterrent. If you were going to behave like a little kid, you can go to the preschool. Miss Nanako rarely followed through on that sort of thing, but she wrote it up o the board anyway.

"Alright class. That should do for now. We've decided on these rules so I expect them to be followed now." She said. With that, the bell for recess rang. "Alright class. Go play now." She said, gesturing the kids outside.

Boruto waited until the other kids left for the playground before going to his backpack and getting the pair of pants that he had to borrow yesterday and handed them over to Miss Nanako...

Kenji too returned his borrowed pants and training pants, neatly wrapped in a plastic bag.

"Thank you boys." Miss Nanako said with a smile, glad that the two were happy enough with their situation. "You can go play now." She said, sending the boy's off with a gentle pat on the bottom. She did feel the slight padding on Boruto's behind, somewhat surprised but didn't pry further. The boy was meant to be in potty training anyway, so it was reasonable enough.

Kenji ran out onto the playground, his mood raising far higher now. He giggled happily looking over to Boruto. "What're we gonna play Boruto?" He said, jumping up and down excitedly.
