With that, Konohamaru and Boruto left the house and began heading through Konoha, towards the ninja academy.

Konohamaru thought back on how the day had gone. He definitely did not expect things to go so far, so quickly.

Looking down at Boruto, he said "You know Nar- I mean Boruto. I thought you would be a lot more trouble to have as an underling. But you've been so well behaved. You must really not like time out or something, huh."

Konohamaru grinned at Boruto's comment. He knew that he had some cheeky behaviour in him. He also felt proud that Naruto was enjoying Konohamaru being his boss.

"Aww. I'm happy I could help you relax and have fun, Boruto." He said smiling. They were only a couple of minutes from the academy now.

"I'm happy to hear it Boruto." Konohamaru said as they reached the academy. It was still everyone's day off, so there were no students around, but there was still a receptionist at the front desk.

The receptionist was a normal looking woman, maybe a chunin, who was busy fiddling her way through some paperwork on her desk. She looked up surprised, hearing the two people come in, and even more surprised to see that it was none other than Uzumaki Naruto with a young child in tow. From her previous knowledge of Naruto, she certainly didn't expect him to be the responsible, babysitting type.

Regardless, she smiled at the two as they came to the desk. "Hi there, how can I help you today?" She asked. Then looking down at Boruto, smiling, "And who's this little one?"

"Hiya! I'm Boruto Kazama!" Naruto said happily to the receptionist and added, "I wanna join the Academy!"

"Well, Hi there Boruto. It's nice to meet you. I'm sure you'll fit in just fine here in the academy." She said smiling. She hadn't heard the name Kazama before, but she knew Naruto's family was originally from out of town. A distant relative maybe?

The receptionist turned to Konohamaru now. "So you want to enrol him in the academy? I'll just need you to fill out this form." She said, handing the document over to Konohamaru.

The form just included all the basic information about the student, age, name, family, medical information, as well as questions on how skilled the student was at ninjutsu, reading, writing etc.

Konohamaru got to work filling out the form, while the receptionist got back to dealing with paperwork.
