Well there goes our chance of not being seen as crazy by society. Society already looks down on Tranny's this is only going to get worse.

I find this slightly offensive >.>
Society looks down on both, and neither should be. To say "Well there goes our chance" makes me feel like you find being trans is bad. If that is the case, then you would be no better than the people you hate that looks down on AB/DLs.

While a trans can never actually be a female, it's very rude to say that. "It's really a guy" .... to what extent is it really a guy? Does that person consider themself a guy? No. Calling a trans female, a he, is like slapping them in the face. Also the term tranny is frowned apon by most transgendered and transsexuals.
To correct your post, it should have been written:
It's actually a transsexual female. A person born male but lives their life as a female. They say so on the clip, on their site.
I just hope I am not dealing with a bunch of hypocrites here. If you expect people not to look down on you then why would you look down on others?

It's all about personal choice. If that's the life she wants to live, let her take her own path. Don't degrade her like she's an outcast.

I agree completely with Brabbit. i find it offensive to be called a he. only when not in public. and i also find the term Tranny VERY Derogatory and offensive. I myself am a TG who prefers being called a She. what i mean by only when not in public is i prefer not to be called a guy when not in public.

I am the same. When in public, I don't mind as of right now, only because I can't expect that much since I am not full time. But here, I expect to be considered a girl. People who call me, dude, he, his, him, guy, boy, man, sir, etc ... and they know I am a transgendered female, they will never get any respect from me at all.
For those of you who don't know .. it's not just something we chose to be. So respect our wishes and respect those around you, by using common sense.

I think Blackdiamond meant it as ''both'' those who walk the path of transgender and those who walk the path of AB/DL ''both'' life styles (I use the term Life styles at the moment as these things are both in someway a sexual thing) for the majority of humans look down on transgender and AB/DLS .
So I think he used the phrase''Well there goes our chance'' as to mean both(well in his case ab/dls I mean both though) has just got abit worse in the public's eye albeit transgender people got the worse end of it this time.

Being transgender has nothing to do with sexual things. Thats just a misconception because people are ignorant. People get us mixed up with transvestites which tend to cross dress for sexual purposes. One should never mix up these two. Transgender who crossdress do it purely because they feel more comfortable that way, it gives them a little more of the feeling they are actually the gender they feel they are.
Example: I was born a male, however, I am a female. My personality shows it. I don't need to crossdress at all. Heck, if my body was actually a female, I would be happy even if I was still to wear male clothing. This isn't a sexual thing nor a life style. This wasn't a choice I made one day. It's always been like this. Many studies have been done and all of them point to this being biological and the brain of a transgender is, in fact, the opposite gender.
Think of it this way ... some mad scientist takes your male brain and plants it into a body of the opposite sex. Just because your body is now female ... doesn't mean you will think you are female. You will be 100% sure you are a male, you just are now in the wrong body. The next thing that will happen is your brain needs a certain ammount of hormones to function properly. Your brain will not get enough testosteron and you will begin to experience gender dysphoria which makes you depressed and makes it hard to focus properly because you just feel something is terrbily wrong. You will then try to cope with it and wear males clothing to give you the feeling you are a male. If your body doesn't match you can always try your best to look like a male.
Now tell me how that is sexual in anyway?

Braddit1987 I just gotta face palm we have a misunderstanding
I mean they both deal with sexual data that people tend to look at in a negative light(I see transgender as what you said it is )but really I'm going to drop this now seeing as this went off topic
