It was a very dark night for Neo as he drove his car down the back country road. Though the moon was full and there wasn't a cloud in the sky (none that he could see at least), the road was still shrouded in darkness for some reason; even his high-beams couldn't reach very far. As he drove, Neo felt that he may have been growing drowsy; he kept seeing ghostly and shadowy figures dance across the road here and there... maybe it would be best if he pulled off?

He didn't get much of a chance to slow his car down. Seemingly out of nowhere, a deer leapt from the treeline, right into the road and into the path of Neo's car! Not wanting to hit the creature, Neo jerked the wheel, his car swerving and sliding off the road, ramping through the ditch and colliding with a tree! The airbag deployed, keeping Neo safe, but his car wasn't going anywhere now...

"Well, that's just great," Neo mumbled as he emerged from his car on shaky legs, "Guess I'll be legging it to the next town..." A nearby road sign placed the next town at 5 miles away; what a trip this was going to be...

Neo's car rammed into the side of the tree, ripping it out of the ground, tearing off vital roots. And as soon as the bark snapped and the roots broke it awakened a evil spirit who lives in the tree. "Urggg," He moaned gently, easily being mistaken for the wind, as he looked down at the fool who dared awaken him.

Neo heard the odd moan, but easily mistook it for the wind. He sighed as he started to march along the lonely road, right along the treeline. 5 miles was a long hike, and nobody used this road at all, so there wasn't any chance of this trip being shorter.

The spirit's eyes narrowed as he began to take a physical form in the branches of a neighboring tree. His skin was dark and resembled bark, and had leaves growing out of his side. He had large leaves coming out of his arms that would enable him to glide and fly silently. He then took off, gently following the trees, watching young Neo.

Neo marched along the roadside, wanting to follow it all the way to the next town if he could. However, his legs were still shaky from the crash, so he wasn't making any great stride in the distance he had to travel. If only there was a place he could at least rest at or something, just to get his bearings...

The spirit smiled and could tell Neo was tired. His eyes then glowed as two fallen logs appeared a few feet in the woods, away from the road. The path to the logs was seemingly clear, Neo could get to them with no trouble.

Neo approached the clearing, noticing the two logs nearby. His shaky legs didn't want to go any further, so those logs looked pretty comfy to him! He made his way over to them and sat down, nearly falling back as he rested. He just needed a bit of time to rest.

While his eyes were closed and he was basking in the relaxation of the logs, the spirit gently whistled with a blade of grass, causing several trees to appear between Neo and the road, almost as though they had always been there. Which they were, he had only had them vanish for a minute for Neo to enter.

As Neo looked up, he saw the trees suddenly in front of him, making him jump a bit. Was he really that tired? He rubbed his eyes a bit, but the trees were still there! "Okay, I'm way more tired than I thought I was," Neo muttered, "I wonder if I should rest, or try to find the road again..."

The spirit smirked and had a light pass by about a hundred feet away from Neo in the woods. He was making the illusion that a car just drove by, and that the road was in the opposite direction then it actually was.
