Hearing Lily's stomach matt smiled and led the girl over to the edge of the lake, where there was a shallow end, but there was a ledge 2 feet above the water that went down two feet and he sat down on the edge while putting Lily on his lap, then he took his back pack off and pulled out a pack of crackers and a bottle of water. He handed the items to Lily while he set her cane beside the back pack, then he wrapped his arms around her midsection to hold onto her safely. "Just eat that and relax Lily" he instructed.

Lily was a little confused when Matt started to lead her closer to the lake, but didn't protest or resist. She couldn't help but 'Eeep!' and giggle when he got seated and pulled her down onto his lap so her feet were dangling off the edge with his. She gladly accepts the crackers and the bottled water and starts opening the package, not minding when Matt's arms wrapped around her waist, she let her head rest back against his chest and began to eat quietly. Enjoying the serenity of the view and the moment.

Matt slipped his feet down into the water and splashed Lily's hooves gently as he held her close to him to keep her safe and nuzzled his head against hers while she ate, purring slightly. He also moved his tail around rubbed her right thigh gently. "It's such a beautiful day today, felt a little muggy, but I'm glad I have someone to share all of this with."

Lily was a bit irked by how lonely Matt seemed. Certainly the man had to have other friends then the one that moved out, not to mention his family. She leans her head back against Matt's chest as she hate, enjoying the sound of his deep purring. When she was halfway finished with her little lunch raised her head to look up at Matt some. "Don't you do things with your other friends or your family?" She asks, her head cocked to the side with a curious look on her face. Lily then offers him a cracker.

Matt eats the cracker from her hand "thank you" he says after eating it. He then sighed as he was about to answer her question, "All of my friends kinda faded away with their own lives and I never had that many friends to begin with, just never did. Then with family, they've got heir own lives and we don't talk much, maybe christmas or thanksgiving" he says then looks down with a dazed look looking past Lily and down into the water simply staring.

Lily could tell she struck a cord with her question, and her ears tucked back. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry or offend you." She admonishes. It was sad but generally that's how most friendships ended, paths diverged and people's interests changed. Most of the time there wasn't really anything people could do about it. Lily starts to finish her crackers and water, hoping Matt wasn't mad at her or anything for asking.

Matt heard Lily and held her a little more tightly, then he leaned down and kissed the girl's cheek. "No, you're fine Lily, you told me about your parents and past, so it's only right that i tell you about mine. Though I hope this explains why I was a bit clingy about the diaper thing and keeping you here. The assistance and caring thing was all me, but the creepiness is hopefully explained now" he says as he nuzzles his head on Lily's.
