Not that long ago, a young girl trying to make friends, Harukaze Doremi, had found herself with a group of other girls who found themselves in a very curious magic shop. They ended up becoming witch apprentices, training to develop their powers, and learning about another dimension. They'd also ended up becoming mothers to an infant born from a flower named Hana, slated to become the next Witch Queen.

Doremi and her friends had since been on many adventures together, along with a fair share of laughter and heartache along the way. At one point, Hana had even aged herself up just so she could spend more time with her caretakers.

It was certainly a bit hard to get used to her being their age, but she clearly was excited and enjoyed the idea of this. She also was showing that she had considerable talent and prowess as an apprentice witch, able to hold her own with them.

Still, it gave them the perfect opportunity to spend more time with her, especially since she could go to school with them.

On this particular day, Doremi was gathering with the others. Senoo Aiko, Segawa Onpu, Fujiwara Hazuki and Asuka Momoko were waiting for her and Hana.

They expected their leader might also bring along her sister Pop. Despite being the younger sibling, Pop was usually the more responsible and serious one.

Doremi and Pop used to have a very strained and combative relationship, but they had reconciled after Hana's birth, and Pop had gained her own powers. "So, what's happening today, girls?"

"Apparently, Hana-chan has something important to tell us," said Hazuki.

"What is it?" Doremi wondered, looking at her adoptive daughter.

The Witch Queen candidate hesitated, gazing off to the side. She then sighed and said, "We have come to a difficult impasse, I'm afraid."
