Olllie truly didn't like ignoring his ward as after his past failings years ago he learned his lesson and hated himself over what he had caused in his ward and worse that always nags at him aside from when hes caring for his grandkid Lian and oddly now that hes doing a odd form of trying to straiten his son out the nagging has died down alot but still there.

Thats when he was qreatly relieved his ward had called him Daddy and went to get his son,being quick to go back and get his Ward. Though seeing as its too dangerous to even attempt carring he put one of Roys arms over his shoulder and started walking down the stairs with his ward''That wasn't so hard was it to call me that now was it?''Ollie asked once they was on the first floor and let Roy go gently

The entire way down the stairs, Roy’s kept his fingers knitted tightly into Ollie’s shirt and his entire weight supported against the man’s offered form. It was no small task, after all, to get down the stairs when your centre of balance was thrown off so wildly; with every step, Roy struggled to catch his breath as he feared he’d slip and go careening face-first into the floor boards.

Yet, to his relief, Ollie seemed to be able to keep him steadied and before he knew it he was setting foot on more secured ground.

“Says you,” he pouted all the same with that same cherry blush flushing across his cheeks, folding his arms defensively against his chest “You’re not the one left feeling totally helpless,”

''Still doesn't change the fact calling me daddy shouldn't be that hard or do you see me as so much of a bastard its very hard to call me anything aside from old man or Green Arrow?''Now that question had Ollie showing worry that his ward may see him as that big of a bastard ''Not that I'd blame you or be mad for that view given what I've done in regards to you in the past '' Ollie started heading towards the kitchen still already planning what to fix for Roy to eat

With a thoughtful set of his jaw Roy eyed Ollie with a rueful gaze, as if trying to work out the trick to the question. Oh, what an opening he had here; any other time, this probably would have been Roy’s chance to take the stage and call out every little matter, big and small…but seeing how keen his foster father was at cutting right to the heart of the matter…well…he probably should return the favour.

“Well, yeah since you asked, it kinda is.” he finally answered, snorting disdainfully now as he prepared to lay it all out “Especially considering that you’re the same ‘daddy’ who left me alone for months and months on end to go palling around with uncle Hal. Kinda hard not to think you’ll just up and leave me again…Hell last time I didn’t even find out ‘till I read a note on the fridge, am I even supposed to be surprised when you take off again and leave me trapped in a giant crib?”

Somehow, getting all of this out in the open didn’t seem to feel as great as Roy envisioned it…rather than making him feel empowered, or…maybe even just relieved, having to drag all of that up just made him feel smaller. He hated having to remember how inattentive Ollie had been in those last few months before the ‘incident’, how no matter what he did he just couldn’t seem to get close to his father; he swallowed back a harsh lump, struggling not to let the hurt show, but it was distracting enough for him to lose his footing and land him on his hands and knees with a soft thud and pathetic groan.

Before Ollie couldn't say anything he heard the thud and was already in action spinning around on his heel do to practiced ease from having to deal with Lians antics and he bore witness to the groan ''I can't give you proof but I have changed ''Ollie spoke as he started to check Roy over for any kind of injury

'' But if you need something to be physical for proof Jade already seriously promised to castrate me with a rusty Kunai laced with jellyfish poison if I do anything wrong to you without a proper reason'' Now Roy may be surprised at that but it shouldn't be too surprising seeing as Roy is Lains uncle so Jade would have a reason to carry out a threat like that

For all Roy cared, Ollie’s mention of Jade and her spiel meant about as much as a snowflake in the sahara; utterly useless. When it came to the extended ‘family’, Roy didn’t want to know and, quite frankly, didn’t care; he’d always been too deep into his own issues that the others would just roll on into one vague collective. Besides…how the man was with him and Lian were two very different scenarios and it wasn’t about what other people could ‘say’ about him, now, was it?

A changed Ollie; it’d have to be seen to be believed and right now, Roy was skeptical that it was even possible.

Turning his head to the side, the red head just folded into a glum, resigned pout.

“Prove it…” he huffed out in a hopeless breath, clueless as to just what side of Ollie he was opening the gate for.

Ollie nodded at the demand as he seen that as reasonable for so long of his neglectful behavior still he had to try showing he changed over the years ''What would you like to eat?
