Jennifer was walking through the mall just a day before Christmas. She was out doing some last minute shopping and found herself eying the toy store across the mall. The very petite and young looking eighteen year old remembered a few of her friends still needed gifts and started to head towards the store. Her small 4 foot five frame made it's way into the store and she started to look around. While she often lived alone she usually visited with a friend to open gifts the next morning. Though this year they were all going out of town to be with their friend, leaving her to be alone next morning. She ran a hand through her platinum blonde hair and blinked her emerald green eyes as she looked through a few of the aisles.

Chloe Andrews was a sweet thirty year old woman with long straight black hair, blue eyes that shone like sapphires, and stood tall at 6'2''. She was a very kind and loving woman who loved working at an orphanage but was always sad to see when a kid was passed over for adoption. She had just finished getting some presents for the kids so they wouldn't have to go without anything to open on Christmas. Chloe suddenly remembered she needed to buy some more diapers as well and began heading to the baby section of the mall, with some of her presents blocking her view.

Jennifer didn't really find anything she wanted and decided her friend's gifts could wait until everything went on sale in two days. She was making her way out of the store walking to the electronics store when she decided to turn around and get something to drink. she didn't really see Chloe coming when she bumped into her. Normally such an interaction wouldn't make her stumble, but it had caught her completely off guard. She wavered a little as she fell down on her bottom on the fairly hard floor tile. "Owe.. I'm sorry ma'am.. excuse me.." She stated politely from the floor as she rubbed her bottom a little.

Chloe gasped as she bumped into Jennifer accidentally dropping her presents. She was glad none of them were fragile as she looked down and saw the girl. Chloe was wearing a pink shirt and skirt with some white high heels that made her about three inches taller than she actually was. She instantly assumed the girl was a seven or eight year old child judging by her small size. "Oh I'm so sorry sweetie. You're not hurt are you ? Here let me help you find your parents" Chloe told the girl as she put the rest of the presents down and tried to help her to her feet.

Jennifer was dressed in a tidy blouse and skirt all in a grey plaid with white top and her hair neat and straight. "Oh.. I'm sorry.. It's quite alright.. " She tapped her flats together and slowly got up rubbing the back of her skirt and dusting it off. She took the woman's hand to help her up, but quickly dropped it once she was back on her feet. "my parents.. I don't live with my parents anymore. I was just out doing a little shopping."

"Sweetheart it's important that we find your parents. Now I need you to tell me where they are so I can take you back to them before they get worried about you" Chloe told Jennifer using the same serious tone she used with little kids to make them listen to her. It was clear she didn't believe the girl for a second as she helped her pick up her presents. If she couldn't find the girl's parents she was going to take her home with her. Chloe waited to see if Jennifer would cooperate having no idea the girl really was an adult despite her small size.

Jennifer simply started at Chloe and squinted her eyes a little, as if she was still trying to figure the woman out. "I promise you ma'am I'm telling you the truth.. " She insisted once more, as she hadn't lived with her parents for many months now. "I can promise you that they aren't worried about me.. now if you'll excuse me I really do need to be on my way." Jennifer insisted as she started to turn to walk away.

"If you're by yourself then I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you home with me. There is no way I can leave a seven year old by herself in the mall" Chloe told Jennifer as she grabbed her arm to keep her from walking away. Since she assumed the girl was only eight years old at the most it was going to be almost impossible for her to believe the girl was really eighteen much less even sixteen or thirteen. Neither of them had noticed that while they had been picking up their presents someone had stolen the eighteen year olds purse. Chloe wondered if maybe Jennifer's parents had died or if she had run away from home for some reason.

Jennifer shook her head and reached for her purse. "No.. no. I'm an adult.. I'm not a little girl..." She pulled out her leather card folio that contained her I.D. and credit cards.. Please just look.." She begged Chloe as she looked around for her purse. "All my stuff and money was in that.."

Chloe sighed and looked at the Jennifer's ID trying to determine if it was real or not. After a few minutes of studying it very careful she decided it was fake due to the fact that it had expired and said that the girl was eighteen years old. One thing she thought was amazing was just how convincing the ID seemed to be. "Well I must admit that is a pretty good fake ID. I'm not sure where you got it or how but there is no way it's real. Now come with me or tell me where your parents are" Chloe told Jennifer as she wondered if maybe the girl had a sister who had made her a fake ID for some reason.
