Hey all you One Piece fans out there! Ready to set sail with the Straw Hats? You can now better visualize your own little adventures with the following papercraft patterns that you can use to create 3D paper models of your favorite One Piece characters as well as their second ship, the "Thousand Sunny"!
Just download the pattern inside each associated Adobe .PDF or Pepakura Designer .PDO file (Free Pepakura download
here. Use the built-in, free to use, Pepakura Viewer to open and print out models. A license key is required to use Pepakura Designer to design models) used to create each respective papercraft (Already colored and illustrated with details), print it out (On the shiny side of some poster board paper or card stock paper using an ink jet printer - Do not use a laser printer as those do not work well with thick paper like poster board or card stock. Also, you might damage your laser printer's paper feeder! See the fourth and fifth posts in ->
https://arstechnica.com/civis/viewto...?f=11&t=100001. Alternatively, you can use standard printer paper and a laser printer but the results may not be as aesthetically pleasing), carefully cut it out (With a pair of scissors. You can save time, labor and get professional cut results by using a Silhouette Cameo 4 cutting machine - See
Using Pepakura with Cameo instructions,
Cameo 4 product features and
papercraft cutting demo using Cameo 4 and a Half-Life AntLion papercraft model. Caveat: The convenient, specialized machine retails a bit on the expensive side. See
here) and then assemble the given papercraft (With all purpose glue, where required) to form the papercraft.
With the following One Piece paper models, there's no need to wait for sunshine to start adventuring. From here
We Go!
Note: I will try to update this thread in the future with more paper model patterns for the other characters as soon as I can find them. Any feedback (Questions, suggestions, comments [eg. - Let me know about any dead download links so that I can try to find alternate sources for download links] or even a "Thanks for sharing!" post) in this thread and/or in the other papercraft threads would be appreciated and possibly helpful in determining which characters may appear sooner than others in subsequent posts (Let me know here which characters you would like to see posted sooner and I'll see what I can do - No guarantees or promises though as I have to try to find them beforehand. Remember, feedback as well as occasional updates help to keep threads alive!
I was trying to find the One Piece characters in a form that is more accurate to their respective forms as depicted in the anime but so far, other than the ones posted here, I only found mostly kawaii, SD/superdeformed or "Minecraft" block style ones.
The "Thousand Sunny"
Note: This is the official papercraft model released in 2014 by Toei Animation as a free promotion to thank fans for their support of the series! It is no longer available for download from Toei Animation's official site (For more information, See
here) but luckily, "Paperized Crafts" archived the six page instruction manual and the eleven page papercraft pattern into one seventeen page .pdf! The studio artist(s) who created this papercraft model is/are unknown/not specified.

Some archives only have .pdo (Pepakura Designer Object) source files and no Adobe Acrobat .pdf files inside of them (In a .pdf file, the papercraft pattern will automatically appear in its actual size). The functionality to directly print out papercraft patterns was not built into the Pepakura software. Thus, a .pdo file must be converted into a .pdf file for printing. In order to convert a .pdo file into a .pdf, you need to:
1. Download the free to use, Pepakura Viewer that is bundled with the Pepakura Designer (Not free to use. You need to buy a key to unlock all of its useful features if you want to create papercraft patterns.) at ->
https://tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/download/index.html.
2. Install the bundled software (Both the Designer and the Viewer will be installed).
3. Start the Pepakura Viewer and then open the .pdo file (Note: Double clicking on the .pdo file will open it with the Designer).
4. In the Pepakura Viewer menu, select "File" -> "Print to PDF ..." to create a .pdf file from the .pdo file.
