Cas, hearing his belly rumbling, dug into her bag and handed him an apple. "Unfortunately, yeah, we're not leaving yet. If you want to be safe, I recommend that you stay with us the entire time. Whatever is running around here is looking for us will probably try to pick us off when we're alone is no good at all, so sticking together will be smarter."
"A-Actually, I thin that if we stick in a group, it will be easier for those things to get us all at once. I think splitting up with be a better idea because at least then two of us can be safe from those things...I know that sounds selfish, but I feel like...like all of us possibly dying isn't the best thing." Leah said quietly, hoping no one would give her any odd looks here.

"Nah splitting up is a bad idea for a number of reasons" Speck answered Leah in a non-condescending way. She wasn't a rescue Pokemon like him and Cas so it was obvious she'd think differently to them. "Firstly we're way safer in a group due to extra numbers. And splitting up will increase the chances that at least one group will run into trouble. Plus we only have one of these paper things as well guiding the way, so one group would be blind" he explained to her matter of factly while still remaining polite.
"You don't need to worry about any of us dying. If we get into trouble we have rescue badges that allow us to be ejected from the dungeon immediately" he added, giving her a reassuring smile. Truthfully he wouldn't mind going off on his own to find those spectres but his rescue experience told him it was wiser to stay together.
"I get where miss Charmander is coming from though. You guys didn't get attacked by these things like we were. I don't think even you two would stand a chance" the Vullaby spoke up, hanging his head a little in defeat. "We can probably rescue these other Pokemon more quickly if say one group went on ahead right? So one group goes to one floor and the other to the last one?" He suggested, wanting to get out of here as quick as possible.

"The only problem is that the majority of moves I know are fighting type moves, meaning I can't fight them if we run into them. From the sounds of it, He didn't stand a chance and nor did Leah when going against one of those things alone." Cas pointed out. "So if we're going to be using his tactic of splitting up, I'm going to have to stay with Speck because, since I basically can't do a thing other than use Stun Spore on them, Speck would basically be alone the entire time. Seeing how he is stronger and may actually stand a chance, it's best I go with him instead of with one of you."
"So Leah can basically go with Vullaby that way it can be a two on one fight shen fighting one of those things because bothnof them can hit ghost types....unless Vullaby only knows normal type moves, which I would like to think he doesn." Cas said with a soft smile in his direction.

"But Cas, those two aren't rescue Pokemon like us. We'd have to give them the map thing at the very least if that's what you're planning to do. It's still way dangerous to let them both go without one of us though" Speck reasoned with her, though it was sounding like it was going to be three votes against him at this rate. "Plus the big issue is that if they get into trouble neither of them have badges to get out of it" he reminded her.
"Ah, no ma'am. I have dark type attacks" the Vullaby nodded to her as he considered what Speck was saying. He liked the idea of trying to rescue another Pokemon particularly if he had someone else with him that already had experience. Those badges were critical too to make sure he wouldn't get killed. "I was having trouble fighting it the first time because it was too fast for me, if you can slow it down with Stun Spore that would probably help me lots. Or perhaps if you have a paralysing move yourself miss Charmander or mr. Quilava?" He suggested, still not knowing any of their names yet.

"My name is Cas, by the way." She said to Vullaby. "Also, while Stun Spore may be able to get those ghost things, we can't trust that won't backfire badly. If I manage to get one of you guys with it, I'll have to carry you around, which can be a problem because that cuts down our chances of winning in a fight with those things...However, if Vullaby can just use his wings to push the stuff away, we should be alright." She said, smiling at the bird. "I guess that means I can take him with me."
Leah frowned lightly and looked to Speck for a second. "But...but won't you guys be unable to see out there? It's kind of dark out there..." She said before seeing Cas shake her head. Then she looked to Vullaby and said, "My name is Leah by the way and I have no stun moves...I don't even think charmanders can learn a single stun move."
The Breloom said with a light smile, "I don't think they can either and, Leah, that was really only the first floor, we can actually see a little bit down here, but we're basically nearsighted, but that isn't too big of a deal considering that we'll still be able to see the thing considering it's kind of hard to miss a ghost at all, even if it is dark."
"So...does that mean I'm going with you, Speck?" Leah asked the Quilava asked as she turned to him with a bit of a hopeful look in her eye. Considering they were both effective against ghost, that mean they had a higher chance of beating one, right?

Speck still wasn't keen on the idea of splitting up at all, but he trusted that Cas would be able to keep herself out of harms way without him. He would have really liked to stay with Cas, but his logic knew it would be better for everyone with the current suggested teams. "Okay. I'll go with Leah then. My name is Speck by the way since I didn't mention it" he nodded, giving a little smile to make sure none of the others knew of his irritability regarding splitting up. He didn't want to bring the group down with negativity particularly when two of them were inexperienced and relying on them.
"My name is Rufus. I look forward to working with you" the bird nodded enthusiastically, getting excited about this. He hadn't been home for a week and getting out was still top priority, but if he could save another Pokemon who was in the same position he was in it'd be worthwhile. If things went bad anyway they had those badges to get them out, meaning he had nothing to lose by trying.
"So who is going where? I suggest that Leah and I go to the deeper floor since we have the best chance of winning a fight, but it's your call Cas" Speck offered, keeping his voice in a normal tone. Since he was already in an annoyed mood he now noticed that his diaper was really cold now and it was adding to his grumpiness. But again he made sure to keep these feelings to himself as it was important both Cas and their two rescues could rely on him.

Cas nodded. "Yeah, so basically, Rufus and I will be on the floor down while you and Leah go to the floor after the next." Said the breloom, trying confirm things here to make sure she had everything right. "Unless...there is actually more than one person on each floor." Cas stated with a frown before looking to Leah and asking, "Do you know if there are more than one pokemon that needs rescuing on one of these levels?"
Leah frowned lightly and shook her head. "Truth be told, I don't know...I was sort of alone when I came in here and I found absolutely no one else here, so I think I may have been the only one on the second floor of this cave." She said before looking to Rufus. "Did you see anyone else down here that was on the same floor as you?" Leah asked.
Meanwhile, while the younger pokemon spoke, Cas decided to head over to Speck. "I know that this is starting to irritate you because things aren't going your way. Just keep trying to bare with us here, alright?" She said.

"Mm, I didn't see anyone else besides that spectre thing. I also came in here by myself so I'm sorry to say I can't really provide any useful information" he responded to Leah with his wings sort of crossed a bit as if he'd been trying to think quite hard. Having been here for a week it was pretty unusual that he saw no one else.
Meanwhile Speck's eyes widened in surprise as Cas seemed to have picked up on his annoyance. She was getting extremely good at reading him lately he'd noticed. Maybe she'd always been able to do it but just kept it to herself? "I.. I'm not.." He started, before sighing a little. "Ahh.. I can't hide anything from you" he told her with a laugh, making sure the other two didn't overhear what they were saying.
"I'll feel better once this is over, sorry for being a grump" he assured her with a nod. One of the big reasons he was irritable was because he had a bad feeling something was going to go wrong and if they were split up it meant he couldn't protect Cas. Of course he couldn't tell her that though, she'd hate it if she knew that.

Leah had sort of moved into a casual conversation as she spoke with Rufus. "So...um...I'm curious. Why is it that you thought Cas was trying to tease you by wearing a diaper?" Leah did actually have a pretty good idea as to why, but she just didn't want to make any assumptions here and be completely wrong in the end. That would be a little embarrassing to her.
"Speck...I have a feeling there is more than just that though. Come on, go ahead and tell me." Now, it wasn't that she actually knew something else was up, it was because she was really just checking. If he told her everything was good, she would actually say, "Alright, just checking." Or something along those lines. In other words, no, she wasn't a psychic type.

"Well.. Because I'm a Vullaby. We have these skull things that we wear see? They're kind of like diapers so I often get teased by other Pokemon for it" he explained to her while hanging his head a little. "It's not a diaper though! It just looks like one" he assured her as he waved his wings around in a fluster.
Since it didn't seem like there was any use keeping anything from her he decided to be honest. "I'm just worried something will happen to you if I'm not there. Ghost types are bad news for you" he told her as he looked in her eyes. "I didn't want to say because I know you hate it when I.. Like.. You know" he trailed off, looking away from her as if he was scared about how she would respond. "I'm really sorry.. Please don't be mad"
