Marech 5th, year 4014, LR (Luna's Return). Two weeks ago, a distress signal had been sent out, from a downed research ship, the ISS Hope. Twilight Sparkle, apprentice to Princess Celestia, and head of the ERITF, or Equestrian Rescue and Information Task Force, alongside her 2nd in command, Rainbow Spectrum Dash had been sent to investigate.

Their ship piloted closer to the docking port, Twilight's eyes scanned the ravaged vessel. "What do you think could have caused this? It doesn't look like the work of pirates."

Rainbow Dash sat back, looking out the window. She had been silent, up until the moment Twilight spoke up. Not pirates? The mare looked at the vessel. Huh. That was some serious damage. "I don't know something that can wreck a ship like that..."

"Well, get your Pulse Rifle ready, and let's go." Twilight said, as the docking procedure ended. She slapped her helmet on, and grabbed her rifle. She sighed as the door to the ship slid open with a hiss. It was pretty dark, so she activated her rifle's flashlight, and her horn. "Wonder who forgot to pay the electric bill." She chuckled.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, and grabbed her rifle. Whatever. She followed the mare into the dark ship. Twilight proceeded to make a terrible joke. Ugh... "Lame. Dude, next time you decide to make a joke in a creepy place like this, make it a good one."

"I'm trying." Twilight pouted, searching around, her diapers crinkles muffled by her suit, as well as the hissing coming from within it. "It's a good thing the Task Force regelated diapers to all agents we can get even more work done!" She smiled slightly, as she searched about. Her eyes widened as she came upon a horrifying sight, "Sweet Faust." She intoned, seeing a mangled Griffon, or atleast, half of him.

Yeah, a good thing... Rainbow Dash had no choice but to roll her eyes again. However, she was glad she was wearing one whenever she saw the mangled corpse. "Holy-" She tore away her gaze, just as her bladder released. "Okay... Pirates don't do that... What the buck happened here?"

"No idea, but, it looks like he's decayed, quicker then a body should after a few weeks." Twilight activated her wrist mounted recorder, and took a picture of the corpse, sending it back for analysis. "Maybe there's info on what happened here in the labs." She held back her vomit, "Come on, let's go." She gently closed the eyes of the griffon, and lead the way down the hall where a sign marked their destination.

Rainbow Dash watched Twilight walk away, and stared at the griffon for a bit longer. She gave a cautious glance towards the mare, before grabbing something off of his body, and running to catch up. "So, I'm gonna go ahead and assume we should be looking for trouble."

"Well, let's see, mangled corpse, and a ship that looks like it got blown the buck up, what do you expect?" Twilight rolled her eyes, before her ears tensed up upon hearing what sounded like a vent grate slamming shut, "What was that?" She whispered, her rifle raised, as she advanced into the oddly sterile research lab. "Ok, this is creepy, why is it so....clean and orderly in here?" She asked, looking around. She then found a datapad laying on the ground, "I think I found something!" She placed the pad upright. "Could be a log of what happened here."

Rainbow Dash's eyes widened. Oh, wonderful. Yeah, Twi, let's go straight towards the sound. Whatever killed the griffon, was obviously still here. She rolled her eyes whenever Twi commented on the cleanliness. "Does that really matter?" She left Twi to look over the datapad, while she secured the area. "Just read it quickly." Rainbow Dash turned her head towards a similar sound to the first one. She raised her gun, and slowly advanced towards it.
