Yes they are releasing these. Any word on when a remake of oh I don't know Red or Blue will be remade? I got my start on those games and would so love a remake of them. My mom would just want Yellow so she can have Pikachu. Mainly the only reason I would re-buy a Gameboy Advanced and Pokemon Yellow would be for her. She just loved that game.

I wondered when we'd get a Ruby and Sapphire remake

My girlfriend and I are pretty hyped about this, esp since Ruby was her first Pokemon game.

I just hope that Swampert and Sceptile get Mega Evolutions to be on an even playing field with Blaziken. And if Groudon and Kyogre are getting Mega forms.... Nintendo, shut up and take my money!!!

Honestly though, after X and Y, I'm really expecting the game to not live up to the hype. The desire for a Gen 3 Remake has been around for a while ever since Heart Gold and Soul Silver, and was really massive around the time of X and Y's announcement.

I mean its been what, 12 years and people have been wanting an update. And they're going to supposedly be making the game in the style of X and Y, its gonna take a while. I also hear that like Heart Gold and Soul Silver, its going to possibly be a reboot, in that the events of the game won't exactly be the same as the original or something like that.

Not entirely sure they'll make a third version however. Given that there was the whole Gold/Silver/Crystal thing and they only did Gold and Silver plus they never made a third version for any of the Gen 5 games or making a third version for X and Y, they'll probably include all the improvements across the series into these two versions. But hey, Day Night system.
