Pokemon - Youngster's journey (private for Anon7921)

You are challenged by Youngsters Vince & Joshua!
Gary crossed his arms, knowing this was going to be quite easy: fighting with actual brats, what a way to start their journey! Yes, that Vince had a Grass-type starter, but that didn't mean anything as he knew much better how to fight...
"What?!" the brunette trainer shouted when Bulbasaur hit his Piplup with Vine Whip. That brat's starter was faster and had already a super effective move! "Now you're asking for it! Piplup, use Pound!" Gary said, as his little penguin recovered himself and charged Bulbasaur with his head.

Ash's Scorbunny managed to hit Totodile with his Low Kick, but the Water Pokemon managed to stand up and fight back without any troubles. Joshua smiled, proud at his Pokemon: good thing he and Vince had already trained a lot, their Pokemon were quite above a simple starter level!
"Oh really? Take this: Totodile, Water Gun!" the young trainer shouted, as his Pokemon shouted a water jet from his mouth directly at the Fire rabbit's face.

Vince winced a little as the Pound connected but had something prepared for this as he said, "Use Leech Seed Bulbasaur!" as Bulbasaur fired off leech seeds at Piplup, the seeds connecting and landing on the Penguin as Bulbasaur healed up from the earlier pound...

Scorbunny tried to get out of the way of the Super Effective move but couldn't dodge it in time, getting shot in the face by the water jet and sent flying back a little, Ash frowned a bit as he saw this Scorbunny was a bit in trouble but he said, "Quick Attack Scorbunny, find a weak spot!" letting the Bunny Pokemon use its speed to get around the left side of the Totodile to attack...

Gary's smile had already gone away by the time Leech Seed was used: now he was fighting seriously, no more jokes or taunts! As he saw Piplup getting weeker as his health was drained, he realized that Bulbasaur was way higher in level than his Pokemon: that could be troubling.
"Piplup, Pound again! Let's give him more damage than he could recover!" Gary shouted again, as his Piplup, now panting, charged once more his attack.

Despite being higher leveled and faster, even Totodile couldn't dodge Quick Attack. Scorbunny hit him on the sides, causing him to fall on the ground once again. Joshua clenched his teeth, but then a quick idea formed in his head as he shouted: "Totodile, use Leer!".
Totodile stood up again and roared at the Fire one, his eyes shining brightly as his move was going to lower his foe's Defense. Yes, Joshua didn't attack his turn, but he was definitely going to make up in the next...

Bulbasaur had recovered enough health through Leech Seed that the Pound didn't really do that much to him before once again firing off a Vine Whip at the tired penguin pokemon, with Vince smirking all the while as this happened saying to Gary, "Not firing off those quips of yours huh?"

Ash's eyes widened as he could probably guess what would happen on the next turn considering Leer's general usage as he said, "Low Kick Scorbunny, we need to get them off balance!" and the Bunny pokemon obliged, aiming the low kick with as much power as the pokemon could put in...

Unlike Bulbasaur Piplup, of course, had no way to recover his health: adding that to the weakness against the Grass-type moves, the Water Pokemon didn't really stand a chance. When the last Vine Whip hit him, Piplup fell on the ground, his eyes twirling, and completely exhausted.
"Wh-wh-wha-what-WHAT?!" Gary shouted, his arms falling. How did he lose against that... that brat?! He, who had traveled in many regions and fighting gym leaders, legendary trainers, champions! Rage was fuming out of his ears as he, groaning, recalled Piplup in his Pokeball.

When Scorbunny charged his Low Kick, Joshua grinned: that was exactly what he had planned! True, he pouted a little when his Totodile was hit by the move, but he knew his trusted Pokemon would've have been able to maintain his balance. And when Totodile did, falling his legs, Joshua said: "Let's pay them back: Totodile, use Rage!".
His little Water friend roared, the spikes on his back grew a little, before he charged at Scorbunny with a powerful series of bites. Now all the damage Totodile was going to receive would've only made him stronger and madder, and adding that to the previous advantage of Water Gun...

Vince could see the rage fuming from Gary's ears and had to add onto this as he said, "Aww, got mad already? Kinda what you expected, big brothers are always supposed to be stronger than their little bros" Vince said with a smile on his face trying to remind him of the bet and said, "Tell you what, I'll make it a little easier and switch out my starter to my other pokemon, will that make you feel better?"

Ash saw as Scorbunny's lowered defense soon kicked in as the rage-fueled bites of Totodile were strong enough to knock out his pokemon, making Ash's eyebrows tick a bit as he was beginning to lose his cool here as well, returning the knocked out bunny to his pokeball and sending out Pikachu who was more than ready to fight the Totodile...

For being someone who liked to tease the others, Gary was losing his composure rather quickly. Vince's words about that brother stuff, reminding him of their bet, plus his following grant almost out of pity, and the defeat of his starter, easily enraged him: "I'm so going to kick your sorry ass now, you brat!".
Ignoring Vince's offer, from his second Pokeball Gary called out his trusted Umbreon: the Dark-type Pokemon growled as his trainer loudly declared: "Ah! My Umbreon is a fully trained Pokemon: he's the pinnacle of my journey and skills! Now watch as we'll crush you: Shadow Ball!". As he ordered, Umbreon started to charge a purple orb.

"Ah-ha! We won! Totodile, you're amazing!" Joshua shouted, jumping from the ground a couple of times in happiness. They had managed to score the first k-o in the fight, even without taking too much damage! "Who was the one who needed to be put in his place, again?" he joked, grinning at Ash.
As his opponent called out for his Pikachu, Joshua's smile went away for a moment. The Electric Pokemon was definitely in an advantage compared to Totodile, both in Type and in health, so maybe he needed to switch to his second Pokemon... but when his little Water friend gave him a confident look, Joshua decided to risk it: after all, he had always been a little overconfident. "Alright, let's see what your Pikachu can do! Totodile, use Scratch!" Joshua said, as his Pokemon charged with his glowing claws at the other.

Upon seeing the Umbreon come out and the shadow ball was being charged up, Vince couldn't help but muse, "That just makes my offer come out even worse now, let me show you why" before quickly returning Bulbasaur to his pokeball before quickly sending out his second pokemon right there to handle the Shadow Ball, his trusty Machop who could handle this attack very easily...

Ash was very focused on his Pikachu calling out, "Quick Attack to get out of the way and follow it up with ThunderShock!" as Pikachu waited until the Totodile was in close before using Quick Attack to move out of the way before firing off the ThunderShock right at the tiny gator pokemon...

When Vince sent out his Machop, a Fightning-type Pokemon, Gary understood that not only his Shadow Ball wouldn't be quite effective on him, but that his own Dark-typed Umbreon was at disadvantage, again. Did he care about that? Absolutely not, as he was so fed up with Vince he was simply thinking about smashing that kid and his Pokemon by sheer strenght alone.
"Pfff! As if your little Pokemon could be a threath! Umbreon, destroy him!" the Kanto trainer arrogantly declared, as his Umbreon launched his attack directly against Machop. And if neede, next turn, a nice Psychic was going to end the fight: no sweat, as Gary knew.

Unfortunately for them, Joshua and Totodile's overconfidence bited them back when Pikachu hit the small Water Pokemon with a full powered Thundershock: badly damaged already, and against a supereffective move, Totodile let out a scream before falling on the ground, defeated. "Totodile! You fought gallantly!" the young kid cried at his Pokemon, calling him back to his Pokeball. However, he immediately gave Ash quite an angered gaze and shouted: "How dare you knock my dear Totodile down?! You really need to be put in your place, little bro!", echoing Vince.
Taking his second Pokeball, Joshua released his Trapinch: the Ground-type Pokemon landed in front of his trainer, snapping his jaws a couple of times.

Vince saw as the Shadow Ball fired off against Machop and had very little effect on him, smirking because he'd know this would set off Gary even more...Once he let that sink in for a moment he quickly said, "Now, lock the Umbreon into a Submission!" telling his Machop to use his Egg move quickly on the Umbreon and the Machop moved quickly, getting over to the Umbreon and locking it into a Submission and made sure to have it on extra tight, Machop was quite vulnerable to any psychic-type moves, and Vince was pretty sure that this Umbreon had to know at least one...

Ash widened an eye a bit as he took in the sight of Joshua's second pokemon, a Trapinch...Frowning a bit as he took a look at that, ground-type took out a good portion of Pikachu's offense unless it turned out like that time in Blaine's gym...So he quickly got together and said, "Quick Attack followed by Iron Tail, let's go!" having Pikachu use Quick Attack to get around the Trapinch before the electric rodent whacked the ground type with his Iron Tail...
