Ruby sighed, waiting for her mother to sit down. "Mom listen." She paused, thinking of what to say next. "Mom, you and I both know that you aren't my mother. I know you probably heard me talk about you with Fluttershy and what I had said was partially true. I already have a mom. She was in the clouds and decided to let her own daughter be cast into the wasteland. What I'd like to forget that she never existed, I cant.When I had come down here when I was only six, you had been the one to raise me, turned me into a little ass kicker. Yes im always going to be mad about what you did while training me. Pegasi hold a grudge I guess. If we didnt well I probably wouldent be a Dashite right now. Anyways Storm the point is, your not my mom, your something way more."

Storm looked down, this was supposed to cheer her up? Not her mother, the one in the clouds what did that have to do wi- wait. She looked up quickly, shock on her face, Ruby said not to talk but to many thoughts were running through her head. "If not your mom then what?" It was hopeful and tearful, she was mad about being raise, but what else? This was so sappy is what part of her mind was saying, but she was willing to bet Ruby was the same way. Now something had sparked hope, and she realllly didn't want to fuck it up.

Ruby sighed, shaking her head. "I just don't know." She admitted. "I haven't really thought about this. But after the whole Caring thing, I guess i've been starting to think about it more. This whole thing with Autumn and Caring, it's just different from the normal mother and daughter thing. I don't know how it just is." She explained, trying to think of what to say next. "I guess what im trying to say is, yes im going to be mad at you here and there but for Celestia sake your my...Dammit just hug me so we can stop the sappy shit?"

Storm didn't know what she was expecting, but the words were still enough to warm her heart. She took her up, pulling her foal-chick into her chest and nuzzling her, an odd thing for a gryphon but what the heck. "And I'm going to get just as pissed at you and ypur antics, I'm sorry for doing that to you though." She said warmly, her tears drying as she wrapped her wings around the both of them. She wanted t stay like this, but she knew good and well her own mother would soon be pissed.

Ruby stayed in the hug, not wanting to move until Storm was ready to let go. "It's just how this kind of screwed up relationship works I guess." She chuckled. After what seemed to be to long of a hug, Ruby slowly pulled away. "Well, if we're done and everything is fine, we may want to get back to Gawd. I'm sure she's not going to be to happy that her daughter, as well myself, Ember and Autumn have all just up and vanished.

Storm withdrew when prompted by her daughter, a small smile on her face. She dried off her snout and fluffed up her feathers, making herself look bigger before she composed herself with a deep breath. "Yeah, Gawd is a stickler for times and I kind of fucked that up, I won't tell anyone you cried if you won't me?" She asked opening the door, only to make Autumn tumble inside with a nervous smile.

Judging by where she landed she'd been listening in while comforting Ember, but she'd wanted to make sure they were both alright! She scrambled to her hooves. "Uh sorry, the way you went in there I was worried it might come to drastic measures. I mind of started listening after you screamed." She admitted with a smile, although sshe quickly got up and grabbed her daughter, placing her on her back while she still gently stroked her back. "I'll tell you what happened later okay Ember?" She cooed, already starting out the door.

Ruby nodded, turning to the door. Thouh once Autumn had fallen into the room, Ruby flared out her wings, letting out a loud squeak. "BABE" She whinned, taking a moment to catch her breath. "What happened to you waiting by the door watching Ember?" She asked, even thouh she already knew the answer to that. Shaking her head she stepped outside, tjuning around to Storm, Autumn and Ember. "Lets just get back to to the stage, get the quest or whatever and get back home. I know i've already said this multiple times but i would love to just be home right now. I mean we still have to set up Embers bed."

Ember had only been half paying attention to the conversation on the other side of the door, asking a few questions at random parts of the conversation. Mostly at the parts she had payed attention to. Once the door had opened, causing her to tumble forward. Looking up, her hat covering her eyes, she smiled. "Suprise!" She yelled, holding up her forelegs until Autumn had picked her back up. "Mommy was listening to you two talk about stuff I didnt get and I saw a fire bird fly by!" She said hapily

Storm rolled her eyes, the filly was a lot like Ruby had been as a foal. "Yeah, I have no doubt mom is freaking out, you two might want to come behind stage though." She said, taking flight immediately after they were out of the room. She knew they couldn't follow, but she needed to get the inevitable roasting over with from her mom. "I'll meet you there, I know mom is going to go absolutely insane." She said, flying off in that direction.

Autumn took point, starting towards the gathering area with a sigh. "Don't worry we'll get it done in time Ruby." She said with a sigh. "This does have to come first though, I'm proud of you for dealing with your mo- I mean Storm by the way, and I'm glad you two really are at least somewhat better." She stated, stroking Ember's back gently. "You really are a big foal you know that." She cooed, letting her magic go to tickle the filly's belly.

"Not a word of what I said to Storm to anypony, or I swear to Celestia I will spike every drink you get from Caring." She warned, turning around and starting to walk. "Speaking of Caring, please tell me she just been waiting near the stage yes?" Ruby asked, continuing to walk. Hopefully it would be a quick meeting, getting in, finding out the quest and getting out. Just because they were on a quest didnt mean they couldent just stop back home for the night. Her crib was starting to sound better and better by the moment.

Ember had laughed, though her laghter had stopped once she had saw a pheonix fly overhead again, her eyes went wide, staring at the creature as it flew by, going silent. Imediatly as it flew by she turned back to Autumn, excited now. "Mommy! Momma! I want a pet! Something like the bird but cuter and better and awesome!" She yelled. "Please please please!" She started constantly chanting as they walk.

Autumn rolled her eyes, but she nodded none the less. "You know I won;t say anything, for Pony's sake how long have I been with you now to know your family and their tears?" She asked with a chuckle. Although the part about Caring made her pale, wait she had been there when Gawd made the announcement. "Oh shit she went to check your room with Gawd1" She said, now shuffling as they approached the stage where Storm, Gawd, and Caring all sat front stage.
