Rainbows and a Dash of Generosity (Private with TnT)

(Sounds good. Not sure I'm good with a group of characters, do you want to manage that for the most part? Next story post shall be Rainbow Dash opening the presents and the noticing of Rarity's lack then? If so, I'm all ready for it, although it occurs to me it might be late wherever you are. Just 7:20pm here.)

(Next post can be just a general party scene. I implore you to attempt a few character cameos! Pinkie always invites everypony, and in addition to opening gifts, Rainbow can interact with a few ponies as well. Btw, how I RP is much different than most on here! XD I'm focused on the realistic but interesting story aspect, while others are concerned with just diaper scenes. Not everyone is, just a lot. Therefore, I like to stretch out even seemingly meaningless events such as Rainbow's actual party. Also yes, it's 2:30 here, so let us continue this tomorrow!)

(Right, well let me just set the scene then and off we go. I think I quite like how you RP then, because just diapering is no fun without a story, and stories are built on the little details and the broad strokes.
EDIT: added some more, since I've got plenty of time until you're on next.)

Balloons bounced on their lines (and occasionally burst when Pokey Pierce wasn't looking where he was going), streamers burst from strategically placed party-poppers and above all this Rainbow Dash luxuriated in the attention.

She ate it up, fluttering through the air as ponies shouted 'happy birthday'. Pinkie's fantastically planned party was fifty percent radical, fifty percent cool and one hundred percent awesome. From her high position near the ceiling Dash could see Twilight doing her best to dance (and not doing that bad a job, really) while Rarity looked on with Spike munching on something at her side, watching his older sister figure. Rainbow assume the nervous looking veil of pink mane hiding in a cloud of balloons was Fluttershy, helped by the fact Applejack was underneath them looking like she was a few seconds away from fetching a ladder and a crowbar. Much as she wanted to help Rainbow Dash was certain her presence was unneeded. Besides, she wanted Fluttershy to come enjoy the party rather than being guilted into it.

Not to mention a rather sizable pile of very colourfully wrapped boxes just ahead was somewhat distracting....

Landing next to a pile of presents Dash bounced to the music and gave the DJ a one-wing salute. The DJ lifted her trademark glasses and tipped the rainbow-mare a wink and a wave before resuming her work.

"Pinkie, this party is awesome!" She shouted over the music, grinning widely at her friend. Pinkie beamed in reply, clapping her hooves excitedly.

"Duh, of course it is Dashie. Its not only a Pinkie party but its also a Pinkie Birthday Party For Super-Cool-Awesome Dashie! How could it not be awesome?"

Dash laughed, throwing a leg over Pinkie's neck. "Exactly! Haha, you get it, now explain it to Twi'."

"But then how could I PAR-TAY!" Pinkie screamed, pulling Rainbow Dash into a whirling dance for a few seconds as the beat got faster. When it slowed down again, the were back in the same place as before. "But now its time for PRESENTS! OPEN MINE FIRST!"

The birthday pony was more than happy to oblige, ripping into the pile with wild abandon. One unfortunate pony found a piece of haphazardly flung wrapping paper flying into his face. That wouldn't be so bad if it didn't cause him to spill his drink on the mare next to him.

"Oh, Lyra's gonna get crazy on him." Pinkie observed from the sidelines.

"Lyra's always crazy, get her marefriend to stop her." Dismissing the issue while presents were in front of her, Dash found a frown on her face. "Hey, Pinks, I think ya lost one."

The thought that her bestest best buddy's birthday might be ruined by the loss of a present Pinkie was on it like a dragon on a horde. Or Spike on Rarity's spare gem supply, which was pretty much the same thing.

"What? Oh no, where? Who? When? WHY?!"

Rolling her eyes, Rainbow gave her a calming gesture. "Calm down, geeze. I just can't find Rarity's present here." 'Not that I want another dress I'm never gonna wear.' she thought privately.

(I like the overall description! One thing caught my attention: the "watching his older sister" bit. Who were we talking about there? o.o )

Across the room, Rarity could be seen standing around next to the punch. She appeared to be speaking to a few partygoers here and there, but not actually getting fully involved. One would think she simply didn't enjoy party scenes as much as others, attempting not to get into the center of it all. However, if one knew Rarity, they would know that's never stopped her before. So what kept her somewhat distant?

Rarity had spent countless hours - days, even, making sure her surprise would be perfect. She had done research and set everything she needed in place. The only thing left to do was show up and have a good time, which she was doing, and to wait until the presents were opened. The unicorn glanced over in the general direction of the presents. "Ooh! She's starting!" Rarity said quietly to herself. She didn't follow a direct path to the present pile, but rather took a more scenic route so that she'd buy some time and eventually get there.

(Twilight, as my interpretation of their relationship tends to fall on the side of it being familial as well as 'number 1 assistant'. Sorry if that wasn't clear.)

"Oh, that." Pinkie calmed almost immediately.

Rainbow Dash stared at her for a bit longer, obviously expecting something more. "Yeah, that."

"Rarity didn't bring one, silly."

"Rarity, the Element of Generosity, isn't giving me a birthday present?" Dash paused, frowning. "Didn't see that coming." A shiver of trepidition ran down her spine. 'She said she understood, this isn't because of- nah, can't be. Impossible. Rarity wouldn't do something like that, she probably just got bogged down with work and couldn't finish it, she's been kinda busy recently. Yeah, that's totally it.'

Pinkie just slid a present wrapped in pink (surprise surprise) from her in front of the birthday pony. "Rarity won't let you down Dashie. Now turn that frown upside. You missed Twilight's."

Laughing despite herself at Pinkie's eagerness to give gifts Rainbow picked up the last one, a slim card in an colourful envelop. Tearing it open, a squeal peirced the air.

"Wonderbolt tickets! Oh yeah! There is no possible gift that could ever, ever, EVER top this! Pinkie, find Twi for me!" Apparently forgetting that she herself has seen Twilight, Rainbow Dash practically danced on her spot with the season pass tickets.

Rarity stopped and glanced toward Twilight's direction. The lavender mare was making her way to Rainbow Dash to offer a hug and a "you're welcome." As that ordeal took place, Rarity realized that all of the presents had been opened. Surely Rainbow Dash had noticed a lack of hers? In any case, once Twilight was done speaking with Rainbow, Rarity approached amiably. "This is certainly a happy birthday, Rainbow Dash! I do so hope you're having a good time," she called as she finally made it to a spot next to her friend. Rarity eyed the Wonderbolt tickets she knew Rainbow wouldn't be putting down anytime soon.

"Its great!" Rainbow Dash grinned before her recent discovery returned to her. She jabbed a hoof at Rarity. "Speaking of my birthday, couldn't find anything from you. What, couldn't find a present awesome enough for Equestria's fastest flyer? I can totally understand that, but don't let it in intimidate you!" The pegasus cracked up, laughing loudly with the emotional high the tickets were sure to supply for a long time.

Rarity smiled. Rainbow was definitely being her normal self, that's for sure. "Actually Rainbow, my present is more metaphysical than something you could simply wrap in a colorful bow." Rarity mulled over that for a second. "S-sort of, but regardless, I won't be able to give you my present until after the party, if that's fine with you," she explained, keeping her eyes focused on the rainbow mare and her smile constant and sincere.

Dash blinked. "Meta-what? I'll take your word for it Rares. Want me to swing by your place after this is over? Pinkie won't mind looking after my presents for a while."

This sounded like an interesting present at the very least, and Rainbow was already trying to work out what it was. 'Better not be a makeover. No way am I letting her froufrou me up, even if she did see me- stop thinking about it!'

Giving Rarity a grin, she nodded. "So, yeah, your place?"

Rarity nodded in confirmation. "I'll see you there."

The rest of the party had gone without a hitch, as Pinkie's parties normally conclude. Everypony seemed like they were having a good time. Rarity decided to allow Rainbow time to gather her things and thank her guests, so after saying a quick goodbye to her friends, the pure white unicorn trotted out of Sugarcube Corner toward her ever-so homely Carousel Boutique. Once she made it inside her home, she got to work finishing any last touches on Dash's gift. Everything looked perfect for the most part, which made Rarity smile. Dash would love it . . . she hoped. With that, the unicorn magically levitated a book off of a nearby dresser, sat on a plush couch, and read in wait. This particular book, checked out from the Ponyville Library very recently, was entitled: "How to Properly Care for your Young Foal."
